Real Living Wage definition

Real Living Wage means the separate basic hourly rates for London and the rest of the UK, as applicable, as set by the Living Wage Commission (before tax, other deductions and any increase for overtime), as may be revised from time to time;
Real Living Wage means the “real Living Wage” hourly rates published by the Living Wage Foundation applicable to the UK in respect of people aged eighteen (18) years of age or over;
Real Living Wage means the hourly rate of pay which is independently calculated each year and overseen by the Living Wage Foundation;

More Definitions of Real Living Wage

Real Living Wage means the hourly rate of pay which is independently calculated each year and overseen by the Living Wage Foundation and announced during Living Wage week in October/November each year;
Real Living Wage means the rate of pay for Staff that is calculated based on the cost of living. The rate is calculated by the Resolution Foundation and overseen by the Independent Living Wage Commission. These figures are calculated annually and are usually announced in November each year. Employers who pay the real Living Wage to their Staff can apply for Living Wage Accreditation. The real Living Wage should not be confused with the National Minimum Wage (including the "national living wage" for those aged 25 and over) which is the legal minimum an employer must pay an employee and is set by the UK Government. Registered Person means persons registered with Disclosure Scotland under section 120 of the Police Act 1997. Registration means Registration granted by the Care Inspectorate in terms of the Public Services Reform (Scotland) Act 2010.
Real Living Wage means the figure set annually for areas outside London by the Centre for Research and Social Policy currently at Loughborough University or its successor or any other body which subsequently takes up responsibility for setting the figure. “Real Living Wage Criteria” means circumstances where an individual works at any of the Premises owned or managed by the Council for at least 2 hours per day over a period of 8 consecutive weeks
