Retailer of Last Resort Event definition

Retailer of Last Resort Event means an event or circumstance that triggers the operation of the retailer of last resort scheme in relation to us under the Relevant Regulations.
Retailer of Last Resort Event or “RoLR Event” means an event whereby a Licensee becomes unable or loses the right to retail electricity to its consumers by virtue of one or more of the following events:

Retailer of Last Resort Event means an event whereby a Retailer becomes unable or loses right to retail electricity to its customers by virtue of one or more of the following events; (i) revocation by the Authority, or expiry or non-renewal, of the Retailer’s electricity license; (ii) receipt by the Authority of a notification from the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority of the Retailer’s application for a voluntary winding up after the Retailer’s receipt of the Authority’s approval to cease operations as required in the Act; (iii) an order is made or resolution is passes for the winding up or liquidation of the Retailer; (iv) issuance of a Suspension Order or Termination Order by the Market Surveillance and Compliance Panel to the effect that the Licensee is unable or not allowed to retail electricity; and (v) termination of the Licensee’s Retailer Use of System Agreement by Transmission Licensee.
Retailer of Last Resort Event or “RoLR Event”), unless the Consumer successfully transfers to another retailer prior to the Default Supply Effective Date (as defined hereinafter), the Consumer shall be deemed to have agreed to purchase electricity from the applicable MSSL at the prevailing regulated tariff with effect on and from the date which the MSSL successfully transfers the Consumer to the default supply arrangement (“Default Supply Effective Date”). Retailer of Last Resort Event has the meaning given to it in the relevant rules. Relevant rules means:  For customers in Victoria – the Electricity Industry Act 2000, the Energy Retail Code issued by the Essential Services Commission;  For customers in South Australia and New South Wales, the National Energy Customer Framework comprising the National Energy Retail Law and the National Energy Retail Rules.
