The Students’ Union is led by our four Full Time Sabbatical Officers and elected student representatives from each School, who represent the views and voices of the students here at London Met.
The elected leaders are called Sabbatical Officers and they represent students on various UCL committees and campaign on the issues that matter to students.
Alongside the Sabbatical Officers are more than 1000 voluntary representatives, elected or appointed to cover every part of UCL life.
The sites, championed by student representatives and last academic year’s Sabbatical Officers, have been developed alongside feedback from the Students’ Union, as well as a number of other departments across the University.
The Union’s Executive (Sabbatical) Officers are employees of the Union.
The residential disciplinary code and procedures apply to every student in University managed accommodation, registered as a student of the University, including Residential Advisors and the Students’ Union Sabbatical Officers.
All Sabbatical Officers and Executive Officers of the Union shall at all times behave in a manner which befits their office at all times and in all circumstances, including in person and online.
Members The members of Senate shall be as follows: Class 1 – Ex officio The Vice-Chancellor, the Pro Vice-Chancellors, the Deans, the Registrar, the Librarian, two Sabbatical Officers nominated by the University of Bristol Students’ Union.
The term of office of the Sabbatical Officers shall commence on the 1st of June and terminate on the 31st of May in the following year; The Sabbatical Officers shall at the time of their election be registered students or currently in Sabbatical Office and shall, subject to the consent of the Academic Council, take, during their period of office, a year’s leave of absence from their studies.
Trustees’ emolumentsTrustees, other than Officer Trustees also known as Executive (Sabbatical) Officers, are not remunerated.
