Officers of the Union a. The Employer recognizes the right of the Local Union membership to elect one (1) President and one (1) alternate from the Employer’s seniority list. The authority of the President and alternate so elected by the Local Union shall be limited to, and shall not exceed, the following duties and activities:
1. The investigation and presentation of grievances with his or her Employer or the designated Employer representative in accordance with the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement during working hours without the loss of pay.
2. The collection of dues when authorized by appropriate Local Union action.
3. The transmission of such messages and information which shall originate with and are authorized by the Local Union or its officers, provided such messages and information:
i. Have been reduced to writing; or,
ii. If not reduced to writing, are of routine nature and do not involve work stoppage, slowdowns, refusal to handle goods, or any other interference with the Employer’s business.
b. The President and alternate have no authority to take strike action or any other interfering with or interrupting the Employer’s business. The Employer recognizes these limitations upon the authority of the President and his or her alternate and shall not hold the Union liable for any acts unless they are authorized by the Union. The Employer shall have the authority to discipline including discharge, a President who violates his or her authority in causing a strike, slow-down, work stoppage or other action of interference or actions which interrupt the Employer’s business.
Officers of the Union. The Board shall grant an overall total of five (5) leave of absence days with pay for the purpose of performing duties of the Union. The President must give written notice for this request as early as possible. Every effort will be made to provide three (3) days’ notice, to the chief administrator for Human Resources and/or designee and the immediate Supervisor of the affected secretary and no more than two (2) secretaries may be absent under this provision at one time.
Officers of the Union. Insofar as the regular operation of their respective departments will permit, officers of the Union will be granted up to one (1) day per month leave of absence without pay for attendance at meetings of the Executive of the Union. The Employer will pay their regular salaries for the day and charge the amount back to the Union. The Union will keep the Employer provided with an updated list of Executive Officers and their alternates, including their work location, and all such representatives of the Union will ensure that they obtain appropriate clearance for their absence. As far as possible, such notice will include the dates the leave will commence and finish and the Union will endeavour to give at least forty-eight (48) hours notice of any leave of absence under this Article.

The Employer recognizes these limitations upon the authority of the Xxxxxxx and his/her Alternate Xxxxxxx, and shall not hold the Union liable for any acts unless they are authorized by the Union. The Employer shall have the authority to discipline including discharge, a Xxxxxxx who violates his/her authority in causing a strike, slow-down, work stoppage, or other action of interference or actions which interrupt the Employer’s business.
Officers of the Union. The Health Centre acknowledges the right of the Union to appoint or otherwise select officers. The Union agrees to supply the Health Centre in writing with the names of officers, committee members and stewards and of any changes thereto when they occur.
Officers of the Union. The Parties agree that Officers of the Union will conduct Union business such as Union meetings, Executive Board meetings, Shop Xxxxxxx meetings, etc. and other meetings which deal with internal Union business on their own time. This includes preparation time pursuant to collective bargaining.
Officers of the Union. 1. The Officers of the Union shall be a President, a President-elect, a Past- President, a Secretary General and a Treasurer.

The chief xxxxxxx must give written notice for this request as early as possible, but in any event no less than three (3) days, to the Chief Administrator for personnel matters and/or designee and the immediate Supervisor of the affected secretary and no more than two (2) secretaries may be absent under this provision at one time.
Officers of the Union. The Hospital acknowledges the right of the Union to appoint or otherwise select officers. The Union agrees to supply the Hospital in writing with the names of officers, committee members and stewards and of any changes thereto when they occur.
Officers of the Union. Officers of the Union, including the Chairperson of the Collective Bargaining Committee, who are employed by the Board shall, on application to the Board, be granted leave. Leaves of less than a full school year shall be subject to Board approval. The Union shall notify the board prior to 30 April as to its intent respecting the above and the names of possible incumbents and formal application for leave shall be filed with the Board prior to 15 June for the following school year. The Union shall reimburse the Board for the salary and benefits of the Teacher(s) granted this leave. Effective September 1, 2009, the Union shall reimburse the Board as per the salary for Category A3, Year 3 plus the full cost of benefits and any salary or other allowances determined by the Union.
