Situation Officer definition

Situation Officer is an employee who is responsible for monitoring and predicting the incident’s behaviour, preparing alternative strategies and identifying the risks and likely outcomes associated with each.

The employer will determine the hours and location (i.e. normal workplace or temporary workplace) where the employee is to standby. “Strike Team Leader” is an employee responsible for leading and managing a number of resources (multiple tankers or equipment and crews) associated with an incident management strategy. “Temporary Workplace” is an alternative workplace where employees may be required to standby or commence or finish incident duties during an incident.
