Examples of Skilled nursing services in a sentence
Covered services include but are not limited to: • Semiprivate room (or a private room if medically necessary) • Meals, including special diets • Skilled nursing services • Physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy • Drugs administered to you as part of your plan of care (This includes substances that are naturally present in the body, such as blood clotting factors.) • Blood – including storage and administration.
Services must be rendered by a licensed and qualified Provider and include the following: Semi-private room and board; Physician services; Skilled nursing services; Skilled therapy services (PT/OT/ST); Multidisciplinary team services (dietician, MSW services); Medications, Biologicals, fluids; Meals, including Medically Necessary diet and nutritional supplements; X-rays, laboratory and other diagnostic services; and Oxygen and inhalation therapy (Respiratory Therapy services).
Skilled nursing services are provided by a Registered Nurse or a Licensed Vocational Nurse, and the services shall be within the scope of practice of the California Nurse Practice Act.
Skilled nursing services will be provided at The Knolls at Goshen or, if Nursing Beds are not available at The Knolls at Goshen, then at another skilled nursing facility.
