Slash Disposal. Contractor’s timing of product removal and preparatory work shall not unnecessarily delay slash disposal. Specific slash disposal measures to be employed by Contractor are stated in K-G.7 and are in addition to Required Deposits for slash disposal.
Slash Disposal. Slash is defined as all debris resulting from logging operations, construction of roads, or other improvements. Upon completion of all provisions of this contract, STATE shall issue a release pursuant to ORS 477.580 relieving PURCHASER of the responsibility for the disposal of slash on the timber sale area. PURCHASER's responsibility shall be continuous until such a release is issued.

Slash Disposal. PURCHASER must comply with all applicable Laws relating to the disposal or accumulation of slash and with the conditions set forth in Exhibit C.

PURCHASER shall expend 10 hours of track-mounted excavator time on the timber sale areas for the purpose of brush and slash piling as specified in Exhibit H and as directed by STATE. Slash piling shall commence within 14 days after completion of log yarding on all timber sale areas and continue until it is completed, unless otherwise directed in writing by STATE. Slash piling in Area I shall not be allowed from November 1 through September 15. Slash piling in Area V shall not be allowed from October 1 through May 31, unless otherwise approved in writing by STATE. Slash Disposal. 1. Slash shall be disposed of in accordance with the following provisions. The term slash shall be defined as residual woody debris not reserved under Section 41, which remain after yarding, including tree tops, limbs, unmerchantable portions of the bole, uprooted stumps, and trees damaged by logging. a. If whole tree yarding; Pile all slash generated from processing and slash located within 50 feet on each side of the landing. Slash shall be piled by a grapple loader to a minimum of 10 feet in height and shall be tight and free of dirt and located as far as reasonable from leave trees surrounding landing. b. If processing in place within unit; slash is to be machine piled within unit 50’ outside of the dripline of residuals trees. Machine piles should be concentrated to same specifications as slash piles made on log decks in above mentioned for whole tree yarding. Openings within unit should be utilized for slash pile construction or trees harvested to make small xxxxx landing that accomplishes keeping slash pile 50 feet from leave trees. Landing areas will not be counted against residual Basal area. 2. The government shall be responsible for the burning of slash.
