Social Safeguards Framework definition

Social Safeguards Framework means the Social Safeguards and Risk Monitoring Management Framework for the Project that sets out, among other things: (i) measures to monitor activities for significant social impacts, and, if necessary, to assist in mitigation of such impacts; (ii) procedures to ensure that these measures are appropriately applied; (iii) capacity-building and monitoring arrangements; and
Social Safeguards Framework means the Borrower’s social safeguards framework, satisfactory to the Association, including any amendments made to such documents from time to time with the Association’s approval, that contain measures to address any social impact arising from carrying out Part Z of the Project;
Social Safeguards Framework means the framework, dated December 23, 2004, satisfactory to the Bank, describing procedures, principles, and guidelines for: (i) the mitigation of the potential adverse social impact under a Sub-project; (ii) the preparation of a resettlement action plan and an ethnic minority development plan, as the case may be, if required for the Sub-project; and (iii) the preparation of a social analysis report for the overall heating system or housing complex which hosts the Sub-project; as the same may be amended from time to time with the prior agreement of the Bank.

  • The Recipient shall carry out the Project in accordance with the Environmental and Social Safeguards Framework and the Environmental Management Plan.

  • The Borrower shall ensure that the Project (including Subprojects) is implemented in accordance with the provisions of the Environmental and Social Safeguards Framework.

  • To be eligible for a School Grant or an Institutional Development Grant, a Beneficiary must prepare and furnish a Sub-Project proposal to the Recipient that fully satisfies the eligibility criteria specified in the Project Implementation Manual and the Environmental and Social Safeguards Framework.

  • In the event of any inconsistency or conflict between any provisions of this Agreement and any provisions of the Environmental and Social Safeguards Framework, the provisions of this Agreement shall prevail.
