Teacher Work Day definition

Teacher Work Day refers to workdays when teachers individually determine the work to be done in preparation for the opening and closing of school. One day is scheduled at the beginning of the school year and one day is scheduled at the end of the school year. If a faculty meeting is necessary on these days, such meeting will not exceed 45 minutes.

Teacher Work Day. The teacher work day shall be from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm daily. By mutual agreement between the teacher and the Board, a different work day and/or days of work may be agreed to.

Examples of Teacher Work Day in a sentence

  • The general times adhered to shall be outlined in the Calaveras Unified School District Schedule of School Starting/Ending Times (Substitute Teacher Work Day Schedule).

  • Copies of all preference forms shall be provided to the Federation by the Office of Employee Services at least five (5) days prior to Teacher Work Day at the close of school.
