Work Day means any day that an Employee is regularly scheduled to work and for which the Employee receives payment from the Employer.
Work week means a seven (7) consecutive day week that consistently begins and ends on the same days throughout the year; i.e. Sunday through Saturday, Wednesday through Tuesday, Friday through Thursday.
Time Worked means time during which an employee is performing labor or services for the benefit of an employer, including all time s/he is suffered or permitted to work, whether or not required to do so.
DAY WORK means on item of work requiring the employment of labour with or without materials as the case may be, which, in the opinion of the Senior Engineer /Civil-in-charge, is not capable of being evaluated by the accepted methods of measurement or assessment and is paid for on the basis of the actual labour and materials utilised on the particular item of work referred to.
Non-working Day means any day upon which an employee, pursuant to the terms of the contract of employment, is not available to the employer for the purposes of rostering the ordinary hours of work.
Programme of work means the Programme of work submitted by the contractor and approved by the Engineer-in-charge and includes an amendment thereto made from time to time and approved by the Engineer-in-charge;
Classroom teacher means a teacher subject to annual performance evaluation review under the provisions of Education Law Section 3012-c.
a work means the outcome of building or civil engineering works taken as a whole which is sufficient in itself to fulfil an economic or technical function;
Major Work means any Work to Construct or Maintain the Distribution System that costs more than One Hundred Thousand ($100,000.00) Dollars;
Day Worker means a worker who works his/her ordinary hours from Monday to Friday inclusive and who commences on such days at or after 6 a.m. and before 10 a.m. otherwise than as part of a shift system.
Work crew means a program of partial confinement
Work period means the period specified in a Plan when an employee is at work.
Work/ works means work / works to be executed in accordance with the contract.
Day works means varied work inputs subject to payment on a time basis for the Service Provider's employees and equipment, in addition to payments for associated materials and administration.
Large work place means a place at which, at an average 500 or more workers are employed in connection with construction work.
Framework Commencement Date means [insert date dd/mm/yyyy];
Extra Work means any work which is determined by City to be necessary for the proper completion of the Project, but which the Parties did not reasonably anticipate would be necessary at the execution of this Agreement. Consultant shall not perform, nor be compensated for, Extra Work without written authorization from City’s Representative.
Construction Phase Services means the coordination, implementation and execution of the Work required by this Agreement, which are further defined in Article 8.
Shift Work is defined as the same work performed by two or more employees or two or more successive sets or groups of employees working successive periods.
Site / Work place means the lands and other spaces above & below the ground level on which the works are to be carried out, any other lands or places provided by the Owner for the purpose of the Contract.
Training hour means at least 50 minutes of actual learning, including, but not limited to, time devoted to lecture, learning activities, small group activities, demonstrations, evaluations, and hands-on experience.
The Work Order means the order placed by the Purchaser on the Supplier signed by the Purchaser including all attachments and appendices thereto and all documents incorporated by reference therein. The Work order shall be deemed as "Contract" appearing in the document.
Stop Work Order means the written Notice, delivered in accordance with this Agreement, by which the State may require the Contractor to stop all, or any part, of the Work of this Agreement, for the period set forth in the Stop Work Order. The Stop Work Order shall be specifically identified as such and shall indicate that it is issued pursuant to the Stop Work provision in this Exhibit B.
Minimum Hourly Work Requirement means the work hours over a given time period that are required of you by your Employer in order to be eligible for coverage. Your Minimum Hourly Work Requirement is specified in the Schedule of Benefits.
Training Services means access to Red Hat training courses, including online courses or courses provided at a site as may be agreed by the parties.
Teacher means teachers, paraprofessionals, principals, school employees, contractors, and other administrators.
