Teaching Service definition

Teaching Service means the Teaching Service of New South Wales.
Teaching Service means the unified Teaching Service established under section 53;
Teaching Service means employment as a certi- fied teacher in a Washington public K-12 school on at least a half-time basis. This also includes comparable employment as a substitute teacher or part-time teaching positions.

More Definitions of Teaching Service

Teaching Service means employment as a certified Teacher with the Northwest Catholic District School Board or any of its predecessor boards including time worked: - as an exchange Teacher; - while on loan to DND; - while on the recall list for a period not to exceed one year; - while on any leaves taken with the approval of the Board including leaves for lengthy illness; and - while working for the Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association.
Teaching Service means the Teaching Service established under Part 2.4 of the Act.
Teaching Service means the service established under section 144 of the Constitution;

Service as a demonstrator or in any other ancillary capacity does not count as teaching service. Periods recognised as teaching service are: (a) Time spent in teaching including all paid holidays and vacations; (b) All periods of sick leave (with or without pay); (c) Special leave without pay, not exceeding three months in the aggregate in any school year, or any longer period approved in a particular case. If, while on special leave, a teacher is employed and salary credit is allowed in respect of that employment the allowable period (e.g. teaching abroad), in any school year is three months or the verified period of recognised service, whichever is the longer. Where special leave without pay of more than three months is taken, and the teacher is not employed during that time in a position on which salary credit is allowable, only the period of such leave in excess of three months is to be counted for the purpose of holding back the teacher’s next incremental date; (d) Any period without pay during a vacation if the loss of salary was because of periods of sick leave without pay.
