Unpaid Absence means leave or absence from work which the Employer agrees should qualify as Unpaid Absence; and

Unpaid Absence means any period of Absence for which an Employee will receive no payment from the Employer under this Policy. An Employee does not have the discretion to elect an Unpaid Absence if the Employee has any PTO hours available except in certain situations involving an FMLA-approved leave or a military service leave.

Examples of Unpaid Absence in a sentence

  • An employee, who is entitled to continued benefit coverage as specified in Article 5.6 (Medical, Dental, & Vision Benefits- LWOP or Unpaid Absence) or 5.

  • Any vacation time taken without prior notification and approval shall be considered Unpaid Absence Without Leave and shall be subject to progressive disciplinary action.

  • Section 7 The Company may grant at its sole discretion a Prescheduled Authorized Unpaid Absence once all scheduled and unscheduled paid time off has been exhausted.
