Vessels shall have the meaning set forth in the recitals.
Tare Weight means the weight of an empty shipping container, excluding all materials used for wrapping, cushioning, banding, waterproofing, packaging, blocking and bracing articles within the exterior container.
Pressure vessel means containers for the containment of pressure, either internal or external. This pressure may be obtained from an external source or by the application of heat from a direct or indirect source, or any combination thereof.
Fleet Vessels means all of the vessels (including, but not limited to, the Ships) from time to time wholly owned by members of the Group (each a “Fleet Vessel”);
Vessel means the vessel/craft belonging to the Contractor for carrying out the work.
Sewage sludge weight means the weight of sewage sludge, in dry U.S. tons, including admixtures such as liming materials or bulking agents. Monitoring frequencies for sewage sludge parameters are based on the reported sludge weight generated in a calendar year (use the most recent calendar year data when the NPDES permit is up for renewal).
Actual weight means the actual unladen weight of a vehicle or combination of
Operating pressure means the pressure at which the parts of an irrigation system are designed by the manufacturer to operate.
Metric means a) when referenced in the context of a Named User, the individual Named User category and type (and corresponding Named User definition setting for such Named User’s use rights) as further described in Section 2.1 hereof -and- b) when referenced in the context of a Package, the individual business metric corresponding with each Package as further described in Section 2.2 hereof;
Deadweight (DW) means the difference in metric tons between the displacement of a ship in water of a specific gravity of 1.025 at the load waterline corresponding to the assigned summer freeboard and the lightweight of the ship.
Pressure means the total load or force per unit area acting on a surface.
storage vessel means a pressure vessel as defined in the Regulations for Pressure Vessels made under the Occupational Health and Safety Act;
Net weight means the weight of the goods themselves without packing materials and packing containers of any kind;
Flight means any flight demonstration, flight test, taxi test, or other flight made in the performance of this contract, of for the purpose of safeguarding the aircraft, or previously approved in writing by the Contracting Officer.
Process weight means the total weight of all materials introduced into any source operation. Solid fuels charged will be considered as part of the process weight, but liquid and gaseous fuels and combustion air will not.
Tanker in relation to chapter 4 means an oil tanker as defined in MARPOL Annex I, regulation 1 or a chemical tanker or an NLS tanker as defined in MARPOL Annex II, regulation 1.
Altitude means the vertical distance of a level, a point or an object considered as a point, measured from mean sea level (MSL);
passenger ship means a ship which carries more than 12 passengers;
Backpressure means a pressure (caused by a pump, elevated tank or piping, boiler, or other means) on the consumer's side of the service connection that is greater than the pressure provided by the public water system and which may cause backflow.
Weighting factor wT for an organ or tissue (T) means the proportion of the risk of stochastic effects resulting from irradiation of that organ or tissue to the total risk of stochastic effects when the whole body is irradiated uniformly. For calculating the effective dose equivalent, the values of wT are:
Weight means aside from the obvious meaning in the physical sciences, the word is used in reference to a person's "size".
Tank vessel means a ship that is constructed or adapted to carry, or that carries, oil in bulk as cargo or cargo residue, and that:
