Year 2000 Readiness definition

Year 2000 Readiness means that the referenced component, system, software, equipment or other item is designed or has been modified to be used prior to, during and after the calendar year 2000 A.D., and that such item will operate at all levels, including microcode, firmware, application programs, user interfaces, files and databases, during each such time period without error or interruption relating to, or the product of, date-related issues or calculations, including date data which represents or references different centuries or more than one century or leap year.
Year 2000 Readiness means that the referenced component, system, software, equipment or other item (for purposes of this definition, the "Computer System") is designed to be used prior to, during and after the calendar year 2000 A.D., and that such Computer System will operate at all levels, including microcode, firmware, application programs, user interfaces, files and databases, during each such time period without error or interruption relating to, or the product of, date data which represents or references different centuries or more than one century or leap year.
Year 2000 Readiness means that the Computer Systems are designed to be used prior to, during and after the calendar year 2000 A.D., and that such item can successfully manipulate, interpret, accept, generate or otherwise process date-dependent or date-related data without generating incorrect or abnormal results, or experiencing a loss or disruption of functionality due to an inability to correctly handle dates in, or relating to, the 21st century, including, without limitation, correctly calculating leap years.

More Definitions of Year 2000 Readiness

Year 2000 Readiness means that Product functionality is not adversely affected by processing of dates prior to, during and after the Year 2000, but only if all other products (e.g. hardware, firmware and other software, whether or not provided by or obtained from Seagate Software) used with the particular Product properly exchange accurate date data with it; and only if the particular Product is correctly configured and used within its intended operating environment. The Products hereunder have been tested by Seagate Software for Year 2000 Readiness on a stand-alone basis and only within their intended operating environment. Distributor's exclusive remedy and Seagate Software's entire liability with respect to this Year 2000 warranty will be that Seagate Software shall use commercially reasonable efforts to correct the Products. Seagate Software will assume Distributor's liabilities to end users of the Products which result from breach of this warranty, up to the maximum liability contained in this Section 7.5.

Subject to the foregoing, if other changes are required to the Transfer Agent's computer systems or its third party providers' computer systems due to Year 2000 Readiness issues, and the Transfer Agent incurs any costs related to such changes, the resultant fee to be charged to the Fund, if appropriate, will be reasonable and in an amount to be mutually agreed upon by the parties hereto; PROVIDED, HOWEVER, to the extent that such changes are not unique to the Fund, the fee that may be charged to the Fund will be based upon the Fund's pro-rata share of such costs across the Transfer Agent's entire client base.
Year 2000 Readiness shall have the meaning given such term in Section 3.16.
Year 2000 Readiness means the ability of a Computer System to provide the following functions, without human intervention, individually and in combination with other products or systems: (i) consistently handle, record, store, process and present dates and date-related information before, during and after January1, 2000, including but not limited to accepting date input, performing calculations on dates or portion of dates, and providing date output; (ii) function accurately in accordance with the published specifications and without undue interruption, before, during, and after January 1, 2000 (including leap year computations) without any adverse change in operation associated with the advent of the year 2000; (iii) respond to two-digit or four-digit dates and date-related input in a way that resolves any ambiguity as to the year 2000 in a disclosed, defined and predetermined manner, and store and provide output of dates and date-related information in ways that are unambiguous as to the year 2000; and (iv) suitably interact with other software and related hardware in a way which does not compromise its year 2000 readiness capability.
