Year of Participation Service definition

Year of Participation Service means (1) the 12-consecutive month period commencing with an Employee’s Date of Hire and ending on the last day before the anniversary of his or her Date of Hire, or (2) a Plan Year commencing after the Employee’s Date of Hire, during which he or she completes at least 1,000 Hours of Service.
Year of Participation Service shall have the meaning set forth in subsection (a) or (b) below, whichever is applicable:
Year of Participation Service means, with respect to any Employee, a consecutive 12-month period of employment with the Employer or any Affiliate, beginning on the date he or she first completes an Hour of Service upon hire or rehire, or any Plan Year beginning after that date in which he or she first completes at least 1,000 Hours of Service. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the period of an Employee's employment rendered prior to the Effective Date which was recognized under the Prior Plan as participation service shall be recognized as Participation Service under this Plan on behalf of such Member.

Examples of Year of Participation Service in a sentence

  • Each Employee who has attained age twenty-one (21) and completed one (1) Year of Participation Service shall be eligible to participate in the Plan.

  • Each Employee who has completed one (1) Year of Participation Service shall be eligible to participate in the Plan.

  • In measuring completion of a Year of Participation Service upon an Employee's return after a Break in Service, the term "Eligibility Computation Period" shall mean the twelve (12) consecutive month period beginning on the Employee's Re-employment Commencement Date and, where necessary, Plan Years beginning with the Plan Year which includes the first anniversary of the Employee's Re-employment Commencement Date.

  • A Special Article XIX Employee will be treated as a “Participant” for purposes of Section 3.1, but not for purposes of Sections 3.2 or 3.3, and may begin to make Wage Reduction Contributions as of the first day of the first payroll period coincident with or following the earlier of (1) his or her completion of one Year of Participation Service and (2) the second anniversary of his or her Date of Hire.

  • Employee shall commence participation with respect to Matching Contributions on the later of (A) his or her Payroll Change Date or (B) the first of the month coinciding with or next following the AF&Co. Employee’s completion of one Year of Participation Service, determined in accordance with clause (iii) above.


More Definitions of Year of Participation Service

Year of Participation Service means an Eligibility Computation Period during which the Employee has completed one thousand (1,000) Hours of Service.
Year of Participation Service means an Eligibility Computation Period of an Employee during which he or she is credited with 1,000 or more Hours of Service. All Years of Participation Service with the Employer shall be counted toward eligibility except the following:
Year of Participation Service means a computation period during which an Employee is credited with at least one thousand (1,000) Hours of Service. An Employee's initial computation period is the twelve-month period commencing on the Employee's Employment Date or Reemployment Date, as applicable. The second computation period commences on the first day of the Plan Year which begins during the initial computation period, and thereafter, the computation period is the Plan Year.
Year of Participation Service means a year of participation service as defined in the Qualified Plan.
Year of Participation Service means each one- year period of time commencing on the date on which the Participant first became a Participant in the Plan and each anniversary thereof during which he remained a Participant in the Plan.
Year of Participation Service means a twelve consecutive month period of Employment with a Plan or Plans, provided, however, that a period of Employment with a Plan or Plans prior to a Break in Service shall be disregarded until the Employee has completed a Year of Participation Service subsequent to said Break in Service. Notwithstanding the foregoing, in the case of an Employee who first becomes a Participant in the Program on or after July 1, 2000, the Employee's Years of Participation Service prior to a Break in Service shall be permanently disregarded if the Employee previously terminated Employment with a Plan prior to acquiring a right to a vested benefit under the Plan's pension program and if the Employee's subsequent number of consecutive one-year Breaks in Service exceeded the greater of five or the number of the Employee's prior Years of Vesting Service. An appropriate adjustment, however, shall be made to the amount of service prior to January 1, 1976, credited hereunder in order to take into account periods of military service which would otherwise qualify as "Employment"
Year of Participation Service means an Eligibility Computation Period during which the Employee has completed five hundred and one (501) or more Hours of Service (one thousand (1,000) Hours of Service, effective January 1, 1995).
