40-hour Employees. 24.2.1 Forty (40) hour employees covered under this Agreement shall work either eight (8) or ten (10) hours per day, as established by mutual agreement with the Union and the Employer with thirty (30) days notice. The standard work week for the employee will be forty (40) hours. The employees’ standard number of hours worked annually will be two thousand eighty (2080). The overtime threshold is 40 hours every week.

40-hour Employees. If during the term of this Agreement, a bargaining unit employee is assigned to a 40-hour week, a meeting shall be called to negotiate the conditions for implementation of such assignment. The terms and conditions shall include, but are not limited to: converting accrued leave time from a 24-hour schedule to a 40-hour schedule by multiplying accrued time by two thirds (2/3), adjusting the thresholds for sick day buy back, adjusting the work cycle to a 7 day cycle for overtime purposes, and adjusting the regular hourly rate of pay so that annual salary is divided by 2080.
