911 EMERGENCY CALLING. The Federal Communications Commission (“FCC”) requires that ZettaLync provide basic and, in some situations, enhanced 911 emergency calling service (collectively, “911 Service”) to customers who use certain types of ZettaLync services within the United States. A customer may ask if basic or enhanced 911 Service is provided for a service. Enhanced 911 Service differs from basic 911 Service primarily in that Enhanced 911 Service attempts to provide emergency personnel with information regarding the location of the person placing the emergency call. 12.1 Disclaimer: CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGES THAT ZETTALYNC’S EQUIPMENT AND SERVICES DO NOT SUPPORT 911 EMERGENCY DIALING OR OTHER EMERGENCY FUNCTIONS IN THE SAME WAY THAT TRADITIONAL LANDLINE 911 SERVICES WORK. THE DIFFERENCES ARE DETAILED IN THIS SECTION 12 AND CUSTOMER HEREBY AGREES TO NOTIFY ANY POTENTIAL USER OF THE SERVICES, WHO MAY PLACE CALLS USING CUSTOMER’S SERVICES, OF THE 911 LIMITATIONS DESCRIBED HEREIN. CUSTOMER AGREES TO RESPOND AND AFFIRMATIVELY ACKNOWLEDGE THAT ZETTALYNC HAS ADVISED CUSTOMER OF THE CIRCUMSTANCES UNDER WHICH 911 SERVICE MAY NOT BE AVAILABLE OR MAY BE LIMITED IN COMPARISON TO TRADITIONAL 911 EMERGENCY DIALING. ZETTALYNC ADVISES CUSTOMER TO MAINTAIN AN ALTERNATIVE MEANS OF ACCESSING TRADITIONAL 911 SERVICES. 12.2 CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGES THAT 911 SERVICE WILL NOT FUNCTION IN THE ABSENCE OF ELECTRICAL POWER AT THE CUSTOMER PREMISES, AND THAT PROVIDING SUCH POWER IS THE CUSTOMER’S RESPONSIBILITY. Further, electrical failures within the network of ZettaLync or other network providers may also impact the availability of 911 Service. 12.3 Customer acknowledges that 911 Service may not function properly if there is an interruption or a lack of bandwidth of customer’s broadband or high-speed internet access service. 12.4 customer acknowledges that the 911 Service is not ZettaLync up to function with outdialing systems including home security systems, medical monitoring equipment, tty equipment, and entertainment or satellite television systems. 911 Service may not work if used with such equipment and such equipment may be damaged. 12.5 911 Service is not offered on international numbers, toll free numbers or similar service accessories or add-on plans, and certain other services. While provided where required by law, 911 Service is only available in selected areas.   • Emergency Calls IP Phones need an additional power supply to operate. In the event of a power failure it is your responsibility to ensure you have the means to make emergency calls. In accordance with paragraph 13.2, we will not be liable for any loss or damage (financial or otherwise) where you fail to do so.

  • Emergency Call-In When an employee is called in to perform unanticipated extra work, and the work is not an extension of his normal workday, he shall be compensated for the hours worked. Such compensation shall be for a minimum of four (4) hours in the event the employee works less than this amount of time. However, actual time worked will be considered for the computation of overtime.

  • Contingent Emergency Response 1. In order to ensure the proper implementation of contingent emergency response activities under Part 4 of the Project (“Contingent Emergency Response Part”), the Recipient shall ensure that: (a) a manual (“CERC Manual”) is prepared and adopted in form and substance acceptable to the Association, which shall set forth detailed implementation arrangements for the Contingent Emergency Response Part, including: (i) any structures or institutional arrangements for coordinating and implementing the Contingent Emergency Response Part;

  • Interconnection Customer Compensation for Actions During Emergency Condition The CAISO shall compensate the Interconnection Customer in accordance with the CAISO Tariff for its provision of real and reactive power and other Emergency Condition services that the Interconnection Customer provides to support the CAISO Controlled Grid during an Emergency Condition in accordance with Article 11.6.

  • Emergency Contact CONTRACTOR shall have a responsible person available at, or reasonably near, the Project/Service on a twenty-four (24) hour basis, seven (7) days a week, who may be contacted in emergencies and in cases where immediate action must be taken to handle any problem that might arise. CONTRACTOR shall submit to the COUNTY’s Project Manager, the phone numbers and names of personnel designated to be contacted in cases of emergencies. This list shall contain the name of their supervisors responsible for work pertaining to this Agreement.

  • Unforeseeable Emergency In the event of a Participant’s Unforeseeable Emergency, such Participant may request an emergency withdrawal from his or her Account. Any such request shall be subject to the approval of the Administrator, which approval shall not be granted to the extent that such need may be relieved (i) through reimbursement or compensation by insurance or otherwise or (ii) by liquidation of the Participant’s assets (to the extent the liquidation of such assets would not itself cause severe financial hardship). A Participant may withdraw all or a portion of his or her Account due to an Unforeseeable Emergency; provided, however, that the withdrawal shall not exceed the amount reasonably needed to satisfy the need created by the Unforeseeable Emergency.

  • Limited Liability in Emergency Conditions Except as otherwise provided in the Tariff or the Operating Agreement, no Interconnection Party shall be liable to any other Interconnection Party for any action that it takes in responding to an Emergency Condition, so long as such action is made in good faith, is consistent with Good Utility Practice and is not contrary to the directives of the Transmission Provider or of the Interconnected Transmission Owner with respect to such Emergency Condition. Notwithstanding the above, Interconnection Customer shall be liable in the event that it fails to comply with any instructions of Transmission Provider or the Interconnected Transmission Owner related to an Emergency Condition.

  • Medical Care and Emergency Leave An employee is entitled to a leave of absence without pay because of any of the following: 1. A personal illness, injury or medical emergency. 2. The death, illness, injury or medical emergency of an individual described in this Article. 3. An urgent matter that concerns an individual described in this Article. For the purposes of this Article, the individuals referred to in this Article are: - the employee’s spouse - a parent, step-parent or xxxxxx parent of the employee or the employee’s spouse - a child, step-child or xxxxxx child of the employee or the employee’s spouse - a grandparent, step-grandparent, grandchild or step-grandchild of the employee or of the employee’s spouse - the spouse of a child of the employee - the employee’s brother or sister - a relative of the employee who is dependent on the employee for care or assistance. An employee who wishes to take leave under this section shall advise his or her Hospital that he or she will be doing so. If the employee must begin the leave before advising the Hospital, the employee shall advise the Hospital of the leave as soon as possible after beginning it. An employee is entitled to take a total of 10 days’ leave under this section each year. If an employee takes any part of a day as leave under this section, the Hospital may deem the employee to have taken one day’s leave on that day for the purposes of this Article. The Hospital may require an employee who takes leave under this section to provide evidence reasonable in the circumstances that the employee is entitled to the leave. Upon the conclusion of an employee’s leave under this Article, the Hospital shall reinstate the employee to the position the employee most recently held with the Hospital, if it still exists, or to a comparable position, if it does not.
