A Part-Time Employee. A regular employee employed part-time, either voluntarily or as a result of a reduction-in-hours in lieu of layoff shall be subject to the following conditions: (1) The salary of a part-time regular employee shall be prorated based on the number of hours worked. (2) Vacation, sick leave and holiday benefits shall be prorated based upon the number of hours worked. (3) Such regular employees who work forty (40) or more hours per pay period shall be eligible for group medical insurance and health benefits, dental benefits, and life insurance; and the County shall make contributions in the same amount as for full-time employees. (4) It is understood that a part-time employee is not eligible for Social Security withholding.
