A Sick Leave Credit Gratuity Sample Clauses

A Sick Leave Credit Gratuity shall be paid to the estate of an Employee whose death occurs before retirement, while employed with The Oxford County Board of Education. The gratuity shall be calculated as though the Employee had retired, under circumstances which would qualify the Employee for the gratuity on the day before the Employee’s death.‌ (See also Central Article C9.0, Central Appendix A, Central Letter #9 and Local Article L27.0 for Retirement Gratuities) APPENDIX 2: BENEFIT PLAN SUMMARY

A Sick Leave Credit Gratuity shall be paid to the estate of a Teacher whose death occurs before retirement, while under contract with the Board. The gratuity shall be calculated as though the Teacher had retired, under circumstances which would qualify the Teacher for the gratuity, on the day before the Teacher's death. PROVISO: Teachers Commencing Employment After August 31, 1971 A Teacher commencing employment with the Board after August 31, 1971, shall not be eligible for sick leave credit retirement gratuity benefits unless that Teacher has, at the date of retirement, completed at least seven years full time employment with the Board. Credit shall be allowed for the qualifying seven (7) years of employment in calculating the amount of the benefit.   • Sick Leave Credit All employees shall be able to draw on a block of four point five (4.5) days' sick leave when they commence employment. If all or part of this block of sick leave is used it will be paid back as sick leave is accumulated. If an employee ceases employment and has a negative balance in sick leave credit, this amount will be deducted from his/her final paycheque.

  • Sick Leave Credits Regular employees who have completed their probationary period will accrue sick leave credits at the rate of one day per month to a maximum of 156 days. Upon completion of their probationary period, an employee will be credited with sick leave back to the employee's starting date. Upon request, an employee will be advised in writing of the balance of their sick leave credits.

  • Unused Sick Leave The accrual of unused sick leave hours is unlimited. The City and the Union commit to the evaluation and establishment of a mutually beneficial non-use of sick leave incentive and pay-out policy. Until such time that a policy is established, accumulated sick leave shall be compensated as follows: Upon retirement from the City service, an employee shall be paid sixty percent (60%) of his accumulated sick leave, with the rate of payment based upon his regular pay at the time he retires. Upon the death of an employee, his beneficiary shall be paid sixty percent (60%) of his accumulated unused sick leave, with the payment based upon his regular pay at the date of his death.

  • Accrued 100% sick leave The use of sick leave under this subsection is at the employee's discretion.
