Absence for Voting. An Employee requesting time off to vote is excused without charge to leave for the amount of time necessary to permit him/her to report to work three hours after the polls open or to leave work three hours before the polls close, whichever requires the least amount of time off. Normally, where the polls are open either three hours before or three hours after the employee's regular duty hours, no time is required.

Absence for Voting. A. Where polls are not open at least three (3) hours before or three (3) hours after an employee’s normal work schedule, the employee’s supervisor may xxxxx x xxx- ited amount of excused absence that will permit the employee to report to work up to three (3) hours after the polls open or leave work up to three (3) hours before the polls close, whichever requires the lesser amount of time off.
Absence for Voting. The Employer agrees that when practicable, employees will be excused to register or vote in national, state or local elections or referendums for periods of time necessary to ensure them an opportunity to vote in accordance with Office of Personnel Management (OPM) regulations. As a general rule, where the polls are not open at least 3 hours either before or after the employee’s regular hours of work, they may be granted an amount of excused leave which will permit them to report for work 3 hours after the polls open or leave work 3 hours before the polls close, whichever requires the lesser amount of time off. In the event of exceptional circumstances, where the general rule does not permit sufficient time to vote, additional time not to exceed 8 hours may be granted.

  • TIME OFF FOR VOTING (a) If an employee does not have sufficient time outside of working hours to vote at a statewide election, the employee may, without loss of pay, take off enough working time that, when added to the voting time available outside of working hours, will enable the employee to vote.

The Limited Partners present at a duly called or held meeting at which a quorum is present may continue to transact business until adjournment, notwithstanding the withdrawal of enough Limited Partners to leave less than a quorum, if any action taken (other than adjournment) is approved by the required percentage of Outstanding Units specified in this Agreement (including Outstanding Units deemed owned by the General Partner). In the absence of a quorum any meeting of Limited Partners may be adjourned from time to time by the affirmative vote of holders of at least a majority of the Outstanding Units entitled to vote at such meeting (including Outstanding Units deemed owned by the General Partner) represented either in person or by proxy, but no other business may be transacted, except as provided in Section 13.7.

  • Disclosures and Voting The Custodian shall deliver, or cause to be executed and delivered, to the Depositor all notices, prospectuses, financial statements, proxies and proxy soliciting materials relating to assets credited to the Custodial Account.   • Procedures for Voting and Consents The rules and procedures for calling and conducting any meeting of the holders of Designated Preferred Stock (including, without limitation, the fixing of a record date in connection therewith), the solicitation and use of proxies at such a meeting, the obtaining of written consents and any other aspect or matter with regard to such a meeting or such consents shall be governed by any rules of the Board of Directors or any duly authorized committee of the Board of Directors, in its discretion, may adopt from time to time, which rules and procedures shall conform to the requirements of the Charter, the Bylaws, and applicable law and the rules of any national securities exchange or other trading facility on which Designated Preferred Stock is listed or traded at the time.

  • Absence Without Leave Any unauthorized absence of an employee from duty shall be deemed to be an absence without pay and may be made grounds for disciplinary action by the Department Head. In the absence of such disciplinary action, any employee who absents himself for three (3) or more days without authorized leave shall be deemed to have resigned. Such absence may be excused, however, by the Department Head by a subsequent grant of leave with or without pay where extenuating circumstances are found to have existed.

  • Leave of Absence Without Pay A permanent employee may be granted unpaid leave either with the right to return or without the right to return. Exception: No paid leave of any kind will be granted an employee who is on suspension as discipline.
