Common use of Access for Union Representatives Clause in Contracts

Access for Union Representatives. (a) The Employer agrees that access to its premises will be granted to members of the staff of the Union when dealing or negotiating with the Employer, as well as for the purpose of investigating and assisting in the settlement of a grievance. (b) Members of the union staff shall notify the excluded designated supervisory official in advance of their intention and their purpose for entering and shall not interfere with the operation of the worksite concerned. (c) In order to facilitate the orderly, as well as the confidential investigation of grievances, the Employer will, if possible, make available to union representatives or stewards temporary use of an office or similar facility.
