Maintenance of Union Membership. (a) All employees in the bargaining unit who are members of the Union shall maintain membership in the Union as a condition of employment.
(b) The maintenance of membership will be subject to the applicable Labour Legislation.
Maintenance of Union Membership. (a) All employees in the bargaining unit who were members of the Union as of March 13, 1991, shall maintain membership of the Union and all new bargaining unit employees hired on or after that date shall, as a condition of employment, become members of the Union and maintain such membership.
(b) The maintenance of membership will be subject to the applicable labour legislation.
(c) The Employer shall provide the Union and the shop stewards, once a month, with a list containing the names of all employees who are demoted, laid off, resigned, suspended or terminated during the previous month.
Maintenance of Union Membership. All employees in the bargaining unit who were members of the Union as of date of certification shall maintain membership in the Union and all new bargaining unit employees hired on or after the date of certification shall as a condition of employment become members of the Union within fifteen (15) days of employment and maintain such membership.
Maintenance of Union Membership. All employees in the bargaining unit who are members of the Union as of March shall maintain membership in the Union and all new bargaining unit employees hired on or after March shall as a condition of employment become members of the Union and maintain such membership. The maintenance of membership will be subject to the applicable Labour Legislation.
Maintenance of Union Membership. Employees failing to maintain existing membership in the Union, or to pay an agency shop/fair share fee as an alternative to existing membership, may be terminated following reasonable notice and an opportunity to join.
Maintenance of Union Membership. As a condition of employment, each employee who is currently a member must maintain Union Membership in good standing. Each employee within the bargaining unit will be required to sign the prescribed authorization form authorizing the Company to implement the provisions of Section 3.01(a) hereof, and the Union agrees to indemnify the Company and hold it harmless against any claim which may arise in complying with the provisions of this Article. Deductions for new employees will start after they have worked five (5) days in a month.
Maintenance of Union Membership. (a) All employees in the bargaining unit shall maintain membership in the Union as a condition of employment.
(b) Newly hired employees shall become members of the Union by the first day of the third bi-weekly pay period after their initial date of employment in the bargaining unit.
(c) The maintenance of membership will be subject to applicable Legislation.
(d) Upon receipt by the Employer of written advice from the Union, employees who fail to maintain membership in the Union or the check-off of Union Dues, or an amount equal to Union Dues, shall be terminated by the Employer from their employment.
(e) Where the Employer has knowledge of an employee failing to maintain Union membership, or the check-off of Union Dues, the Employer shall so advise the Union and, in turn, the Union shall advise the employee in writing. When the Employer is advised by the Union of non-compliance of either of the above, the Employer shall terminate the services of the employee within thirty (30) days of written advice as noted above.
Maintenance of Union Membership. All Employees who are members of the Union shall remain members of the Union in good standing as a condition of employment. As a condition of employment, all new employees shall become and remain members in good standing of the Union within thirty (30) days of employment, which membership shall be governed by the C.U.P.E. National Constitution.
Maintenance of Union Membership. It is agreed that all Owner/Operators shall join and maintain their Union membership in good standing for the duration of this Agreement. The Company agrees to remit to the appropriate Local Union(s) an amount equal to the Local Union’s initiation fees and dues for every Owner/Operator operating for the Company. A check off list containing the name and domicile of each Owner/Operator will accompany the Union dues on a monthly basis.
Maintenance of Union Membership. Section 5.01 Employees (1) who are members of the Union on the effective date of this Agreement and employees (2) who are members of the Union on or after the thirtieth day following the beginning of their employment or the effective date of this Agreement, whichever is the later, shall, as a condition of continued employment, maintain membership in the Union until the termination of this Agreement or until promoted or transferred out of the bargaining unit, provided, however, that any employee who wishes to withdraw from the Union may do so by giving written notice to the Union and the Company. Such notice must be received or postmarked during the ten (10) day period preceding the expiration of this Agreement.
Section 5.02 The Company shall not discharge or otherwise discriminate against any employee under the provisions of this Article (1) because Union membership is not available to the employee on the same terms and conditions generally applicable to other employees, or (2) because Union membership is denied or terminated for reasons other than the failure of the employee to tender the periodic dues and initiation fees uniformly required as a condition of acquiring or retaining membership.
Section 5.03 If a dispute arises under the conditions specified in Section 5.01 of this Article, such dispute shall be handled through the Grievance Procedure specified in Article 7
