Union Management Communication Committees. PURPOSE‌ The Employer and the Union endorse the goal of a constructive and cooperative relationship. To promote and xxxxxx such a relationship the parties agree to establish a structure of joint Union/Management Communications Committees for the sharing of information and concerns and discussing possible resolution(s) in a collaborative manner. DEPARTMENT OR DIVISION-LEVEL COMMITTEES‌ Department or Division-level Statewide Union/Management Communication Committees will be established to discuss and exchange Department or Division-specific information of a group nature and general interest to both parties. The discussion and exchange of information pertaining to a local or Department or Division matter will be addressed to the lowest level Committee. In the event there is not a Committee below the Department or Division level, such matters will be addressed at the Department or Division level. AD HOC COMMITTEES‌ Committees to address specific issues may be established by mutual agreement at a Department or Division level Committee. Local and sub-Department or Division-level Committees may only be established by mutual agreement at a Department or Division-level Statewide Committee meeting and mutually agreed upon by the parties. Union Management Communication Committees. 23.1 Purpose Union-Management Communication Committees will be established at the statewide and/or local levels of the Employer’s agencies as described in Appendix C, Statewide and local Union-Management Communication Committees. The purpose of the committee(s) is to provide continuing communication between the parties and to promote constructive union-management relations. The committee(s) will meet and exchange information of a group nature and general interest to both parties in order to discuss and explore concerns and possible resolutions in a collaborative manner. Ad-hoc committees may be established by mutual agreement at an agency-level statewide committee or a local-level committee as described in Subsection 23.2 A and B. Recommendations of the ad-hoc committees will be brought back to the state-wide or local-level committee for consideration.
Union Management Communication Committees. C. The union xxxxxxx will obtain approval from his or her supervisor before attending a meeting. Notification will include the approximate amount of time the xxxxxxx expects the activity to take. Any institution business requiring the employee’s immediate attention will be completed prior to attending the meeting. Attendance at meetings during the union xxxxxxx’x non-work hours will not be considered as time worked. Union stewards may not use state vehicles to travel to and from a work site in order to perform representational activities.

  • Union-Management Committee There shall be a union/management committee comprised of four (4) employee representatives appointed by the Union and four (4) employer representatives. The Committee's purpose is to provide and promote effective and meaningful communication of information and ideas and to make joint recommendations on matters of concern. Matters that are properly the subject of an individual grievance will not be discussed at this committee. The Committee will meet quarterly, unless agreed otherwise, at a time and place mutually agreed to provided there is business for their joint consideration. The parties will exchange agenda items at least one (1) week prior to the meeting. The parties further agree the Committee may meet at any time its members mutually agree a meeting should be held. The duties of the Chairperson will be shared by the parties. Copies of the minutes shall be provided to Committee members. The employer agrees to pay for time spent during regular working hours for representatives of the union attending such meetings. The parties may utilize video or teleconferencing services for the purposes of committee members attending committee meetings, where appropriate and available. Neither party can unreasonably deny an initiative to utilize video or teleconferencing services.

  • Joint Union/Management Committee It shall be appropriate for either the Union or the University to request that a Joint Union/Management committee be convened, with Environmental Health and Safety as a participating member, to discuss health and safety concerns and to explore options for addressing those concerns through appropriate training or other approaches.

  • Association-Management Committee There shall be an Association-Management Committee comprised of two (2) representatives of the parties. The Committee shall meet quarterly, unless otherwise mutually agreed. Agenda items to be discussed shall be exchanged in writing at least five calendar days prior to the meeting. Meetings of this Committee will be to discuss matters of mutual concern, matters relating to nursing, professional practice, scheduling and work load issues. The Committee shall promote and provide for effective and meaningful communication. The parties agree Self Scheduling is appropriate subject matter to discuss in this forum.

  • UNION MANAGEMENT CONSULTATION COMMITTEE 28.00 The Union and the Employer agree to establish/maintain a Union Management Consultation Committee which shall be comprised of two (2) representatives of the Local Union and two (2) representatives of the Employer. A person designated by the Union and the Employer shall alternate as the Chairperson.

  • Labour Management Committee (a) Where the parties mutually agree that there are matters of mutual concern and interest that would be beneficial if discussed at a Labour-Management Committee Meeting during the term of this Agreement, the following shall apply.

  • JOINT LABOUR MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE 18.01 A Joint Labour Management Committee shall be established to attend to those matters which are of mutual interest. To ensure its effectiveness the Committee shall be separate and apart from the grievance procedure.

  • EMPLOYEE-MANAGEMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE 33.01 (a) An Employee-Management Advisory Committee (EMAC) shall be established within three (3) months of the signing of the Collective Agreement. The Union Representative shall provide the names of up to three (3) elected Employees and the Employer shall provide the names of up to three (3) appointed representatives to sit on the EMAC.

  • Local Professional Development Committee 1. The Local Professional Development Committee (LPDC) shall be established to oversee and review professional development plans pursuant to ORC 3319.22.

  • Joint Labor/Management Committees Purpose and Membership. Joint Labor/Management Committees are established to provide a forum for communications and problem-solving between the two parties and to deal with matters of a general personnel Union/Employer concern, as well as professional practices within the hospital related to patient care and professional issues. The Committees will work toward the improvement of patient care and recommend ways and means to improve patient care; and will address problems and concerns related to staffing and workloads. The Committees’ function will be limited to an advisory capacity and shall not include any decision making or collective bargaining authority. Committee memberships:

  • LABOR/MANAGEMENT COMMITTEES Section 1. Labor/Management Committees The parties recognize that the holding of periodic meetings for the exchange of views and information contributes to the effectiveness of the labor/management relationship. Therefore, the parties shall establish Labor/Management Committees (LMC), in accordance with the provisions in this Article, for the purpose of addressing matters of concern in the areas of personnel policies, practices, conditions of employment, and other matters affecting employees. Each LMC will be co-chaired by one member from labor and one member from management.
