– ACTING BATTALION CHIEF ASSIGNMENTS. Notwithstanding Section 6.1 – Overtime Compensation, except as otherwise provided in this MOU, the Fire Chief retains the right to make Acting Battalion Chief assignments at his sole discretion. Acting Battalion Chief assignments shall not be made as alternatives to Merit System Promotions.
