Additional Assignments. The Contractor further agrees to, and if applicable, cause each of its employees to, execute, acknowledge, and deliver all applications, specifications, oaths, assignments, and all other instruments which the City might reasonably deem necessary in order to apply for and obtain copyright protection, mask work registration, trademark registration and/or protection, letters patent, or any similar rights in any and all countries and in order to assign and convey to the City, its successors, assigns and nominees, the sole and exclusive right, title, and interest in and to the deliverables. The Contractor’s obligations to execute, acknowledge, and deliver (or cause to be executed, acknowledged, and delivered) instruments or papers such as those described in this Paragraph 38 a., b., and c. shall continue after the termination of this Contract with respect to such deliverables. In the event the City should not seek to obtain copyright protection, mask work registration or patent protection for any of the deliverables, but should desire to keep the same secret, the Contractor agrees to treat the same as Confidential Information under the terms of Paragraph 37 above.
Additional Assignments. In the event of the dissolution or liquidation of the Company, or in the event of any reorganization, merger or consolidation thereof, or in the event of a sale of all or substantially all of the assets of the Company, or in the event of any reclasssification or increase in the number of issued shares of capital stock of the Company by reason of a stock dividend, stock split, recapitalization, conversion or exchange of shares or any like capital adjustment, all securities issued in exchange for or in respect of the Shares and all securities , monies or other property of whatever nature distributed with respect to the Shares shall be pledged and delivered to Pledgeholder hereunder and Pledgor will promptly execute and deliver to Pledgeholder an assignment of all shares resulting therefrom and attributable to the Shares, and Pledgor agrees to transfer the certificates evidencing the same as additional collateral, and to be held by the Pledgeholder subject to all of the terms hereof.
Additional Assignments. Additional assignments associated with additional compensation shall not be construed to be part of the continuing contract unless expressly provided as such in the individual contract.
Additional Assignments. Bargaining unit employees qualified for additional 14 teaching assignments in School for Adults and/or summer school shall be given 15 priority consideration. Employees selected by the District to fill positions in the 16 Additional Assignments Schedule shall be paid at the rates and in the manner 17 described in that schedule. 18
Additional Assignments. Employees may, while on leave of absence, provided that there is no conflict in hours, continue existing multiple assignments or previously held outside employment. During any period of the leave in which the income from the new employment is greater than the Retraining and Study Leave pay for that month, the amount in excess of the leave pay will be deducted from the leave pay so that the total of new employment and leave pay does not exceed the regular pay of the employee including differentials for which the employee would have been eligible had he/she not been on leave.
Additional Assignments. The Employer may pay additional compensation for the voluntary performance of extra assignments requiring additional responsibility, effort, and skill. The amount of such compensation shall be determined by the Employer and the employee after consultation with the Association. The additional compensation shall terminate upon the completion of the assignment.
i. When a qualified paraeducator agrees to substitute teach for the regularly assigned teacher, s/he shall receive $25.00 in addition to their regular compensation.
Additional Assignments. Part-time faculty members performing instructional duties in excess of a fulltime load will be paid at the part-time faculty rate identified in Appendix C for assignments at or below the part-time threshold as defined in Article11.2. Part-time faculty members performing instructionally related duties may also be compensated via stipends.
Additional Assignments. Under certain circumstances, it may be appropriate for members to assume responsibilities in addition to their regular duties for which they may receive extra remuneration, e.g. teaching a class, marking papers, additional administrative duties, assuming more senior responsibilities in a temporary capacity, or any project where significant extra time is required. Permission to assume such additional responsibilities must be obtained from the department head and People and Resources.
Additional Assignments. Additional assignments, i.e. overload, extended contract, weekend workshop, will be paid according to one of the payment methods in this subdivision, when the start and end dates of the assignment are known. The employee may select either a lump sum payment payable upon completion of the work or installments that span the length of the work performed.
Additional Assignments. 4.9.1 When an additional assignment/additional work, which is customarily performed by only bargaining unit members, becomes available after the traditional school year, such work shall be available on a voluntary basis for qualified bargaining unit members who are not working at the time. An additional assignment/additional work does not include the type of work done by short-term employees or substitutes.
4.9.2 Additional work shall be offered to those who have previously placed their name on the “additional work sign-up list” at the district office. The priority for awarding the additional work to employees on this list shall:
a. First be those unit employees who are in the applicable job classification
b. Second the selection of employees within the job classification will be seniority based, starting from highest seniority to lowest, and picking the job of their choice that is available within their classification
c. Third priority to all other unit employees on the additional work sign-up list who are qualified and experienced to do that type of additional assignment The District may have to make the final determination as to whether an out-of- classification employee is qualified and experienced to do the particular additional assignment. If more than one (1) employee applies in any of the above categories (A, B, or C), being considered, the most qualified shall be selected. If equally qualified, then the District shall use the criteria in this Article to select the employee for the additional work. If the District cannot timely locate the employee selected for the additional work according to A, B and C above, the next qualified employee in line shall be contacted.
4.9.3 An employee performing additional work shall receive the same salary and benefits as apply to that work during the regular academic schedule.
4.9.3.1 Effective July 01, 2017, employees who are offered and accepted extra duty, out of job class work assignments as part of the additional work sign-up list for summer program will receive one-third (1/3) year’s credit service experience upon completion of the assignment. Credit service experience will be tracked and applied to extra duty rate of pay as stated in Article 4.9.3.
4.9.3.2 Employees who have previous time and experience in an additional work assignment between 2012 and 2017 shall be given service credit for their experience in accordance with 4.9.3.1.
4.9.4 If an insufficient number of employees within the District apply for...
