Adopted Standards. All plants will be handled in accordance with accepted horticultural practices and professional standards as recommended by the Illinois Landscape Contractors Association. INSPECTION OF PLANT MATERIAL The nursery supplying plant material has been visited before the award of the contract. Material, which is suitable for the Village’s requirements, has been inspected and will be selected by the Deputy Director of Public Works Operations or his authorized representative. QUALITY OF PLANT MATERIAL Material shall be in a live, healthy condition free from dead branches, blemishes, scars decayed spots, frost cracks, disfiguring knots, bruises, broken bark or mutilation of any nature. Only material dug with the earth ball from the nursery growing location will be acceptable. Material with a composition or processed ball will be rejected. PLANTING Tree shall be planted in holes at least twelve (12) inches wider than the diameter of the ball and a minimum of two (2) feet in depth. In unfavorable ground conditions, the contractor shall place approximately six (6) inches of loose topsoil in the bottom of the excavation before planting the tree. All excess spoilage and/or soil are to be removed by the contractor. All string and burlap from the top 30% of the ball shall be removed prior to mulch application. All trees must be watered immediately after planting by the contractor. The approximate locations of trees to be planted are shown in Appendix B. Each tree shall be planted plumb and at the same level as where it stood in the nursery in relation to finished grade. Backfill shall be properly fertilized with organic fertilizer and shall be thoroughly watered when the hole is two-thirds (2/3) full of topsoil. After watering, the filling shall be completed and the soil thoroughly tamped. After planting, a four-(4) inch mulch of wood chips or an approved equal shall be applied over the disturbed ground and a shallow watering basin provided around the tree. Water bags as provided by the Village of Buffalo Grove shall be installed by the contractor. The contractor agrees to indemnify the Village of Buffalo Grove for any and all violations of laws and any rules and regulations now or hereafter issued
Adopted Standards. Turnout time equates to the time from the receipt of a dispatched alarm by the firefighting crew, until they indicate (verbally or electronically) they are en-route to the incident. Turnout Time Standard: At fully staffed stations Eastside Fire & Rescue has adopted turn out time standards of: 90 seconds for daytime EMS incidents 120 seconds for nighttime EMS incidents 135 seconds for daytime FIRE incidents 165 seconds for nighttime FIRE incidents During 2017, overall, EF&R met its turn out time standards 95.9% of the time. This did meet the time standards set by the EF&R Board. The overall 90th percentile time was 107 seconds. At fully staffed stations, Eastside Fire & Rescue met its Daytime EMS turn out standard 96.0% of the time. The 90th percentile time was 78 seconds. At fully staffed stations, Eastside Fire & Rescue met its Nighttime EMS turn out standard 92.3% of the time. The 90th percentile time was 117 seconds. At fully staffed stations, Eastside Fire & Rescue met its Daytime FIRE turn out standard 97.8% of the time. The 90th percentile time was 105 seconds. At fully staffed stations, Eastside Fire & Rescue met its Nighttime FIRE turn out standard 97.7% of the time. The 90th percentile time was 135 seconds. Response time for the arrival of the first arriving engine company at a fire suppression incident. Response Time Standard: Eastside Fire &Rescue has adopted an urban/suburban response/travel time standard of ten (10) minutes for the arrival of the first engine company to a fire suppression incident, which the Agency should meet 90% of the time. During 2017, EF&R arrived on urban fire suppression incidents in ten (10) minutes or less 99.5% of the time. This did meet the time standards set by the EF&R Board. Eastside Fire &Rescue has adopted a rural response/travel time standard of 16 minutes for the arrival of the first engine company to a fire suppression incident, which the Agency should meet 90% of the time. During 2017, EF&R arrived on rural/wilderness fire suppression incidents in 16 minutes or less 100% of the time. This did meet the time standards set by the EF&R Board.   • OMB Standards Unless specified otherwise within this agreement, the Subrecipient shall procure all materials, property, or services in accordance with the requirements of 24 CFR 84.40−48.

  • General Standards An Assistant Professor will be competent to teach in a particular field, will be current in the literature of that field, and will seek to meet student needs in both the classroom and in non-classroom environments. However, an Assistant may be a junior member of the academic community, with little professional and/or teaching experience. Furthermore, an Assistant may have little experience in curriculum development, committee work, governance, professional and/or community service, etc. In short, an Assistant Professor generally will be new to tenure-track college teaching. For eligibility for promotion from Assistant to Associate Professor, the candidate must have served a minimum of four (4) years at the rank of Assistant Professor, and must show evidence that he/she has grown professionally and consistently has sought to meet student needs, in both the classroom and in non-classroom environments. A successful candidate for the rank of Associate Professor will have remained current in the field, and will have improved his/her teaching in some demonstrable way. He/she also will have demonstrated professional growth in one or more of the following ways: completion of additional appropriate course work (if applicable), attendance at professional conferences, service on campus and/or District committees, professional and/or community service, or, the production of some creative work. Evidence of professional growth will be drawn from a careful analysis of student evaluations and peer evaluations over a period of time, and from a critical reading of materials submitted by the candidate. For promotion from Associate to Professor, the candidate must have served a minimum of four (4) years at the rank of Associate Professor, and must show evidence that he/she has grown professionally to a point where he/she has mastered both a particular field of knowledge and the teaching of that knowledge. A successful candidate must show evidence that he/she consistently has sought to meet student needs, in both the classroom and non-classroom environments. A Professor should be a senior member of the faculty, one who has such substantial experience, knowledge, and skill that he/she could mentor junior faculty in his/her area of expertise. A Professor will have demonstrated all the same kinds of achievements and attributes necessary for promotion to the Associate Professor rank, but in addition will demonstrate that he/she is a leader in some appropriate sense. Evidence of professional growth and leadership will be drawn from a careful analysis of student evaluations and peer evaluations over a period of time, and from a critical reading of materials submitted by the candidate.

  • ETHICAL STANDARDS 10.7.1 Within 90 days after the Effective Date, Developer shall adopt written policies establishing ethical standards of conduct for all Developer-Related Entities (other than NTTA), including Developer’s supervisory and management personnel, in dealing with (a) TxDOT and the Independent Engineer and (b) employment relations. Such policy shall be subject to review and comment by TxDOT prior to adoption. Such policy shall include standards of ethical conduct concerning the following:

  • International Standards 1. Each Party shall use relevant international standards, to the extent provided in Article 2.4 of the TBT Agreement, as a basis for its technical regulations.

  • Professional Standards The Contractor agrees to maintain the professional standards applicable to its profession and to Contractors doing business in the United States Virgin Islands.

  • Codes and Standards Under the various sections of the specifications, where reference is made to specific codes or standards governing the installation of specified items, installation shall in all cases be in strict accordance with the referenced codes and standards. Where no reference is made to specific codes or standards, installation shall conform to the generally recognized applicable standards for first-class installation of the specific item to be installed. Contractors are expected to be proficient and skilled in their respective trades and knowledgeable of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), the current edition of the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code (USBC) and its referenced technical codes and standards, Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and other codes and standards applicable to installations and associated work by its trade and/or that are applicable to the Work.
