Common use of Advancement of Sick Leave Clause in Contracts

Advancement of Sick Leave. Each newly-hired Professional Staff Member and each Professional Staff Member having used all available sick leave will be given an advancement of no more than five (5) days of sick leave each year to be charged against the sick leave the employee subsequently accumulates. To be eligible for, and to receive this advancement, the employee must complete the paperwork requesting this advancement, and the employee must have repaid all past advancements. The employee is limited to one advancement per school year

In an advancement employee's first year of no more than five full-time employment, their yearly total accumulation of fifteen (515) days will be advanced, if needed before it is accrued. b. After the first year of sick leave each year to full-time employment, a maximum of seven (7) days will be charged against the sick leave advanced, if needed per contract year. c. In either case, if the employee subsequently accumulates. To be eligible for, and leaves the District before they have earned enough sick days to receive this advancementoffset their sick day advance, the employee must complete the paperwork requesting this advancement, and the employee must have repaid all past advancements. The employee is limited to one advancement per school yearappropriate salary reduction will be made.
