  • Time Off in Lieu of Overtime Employees who work overtime will not be required to take time off in regular hours to make up for overtime worked. Time off in lieu may be taken on a mutually agreed upon basis between the employee and the Hospital, such time off will be the equivalent of the premium rate the employee has earned for working overtime. The Hospital shall revert to payment of premium rate if time off is not taken within ninety (90) calendar days of the work week in which the overtime was earned or, with the employee’s agreement, within 12 months of that work week.

  • Payment of Overtime 5.5.1 Subject to the provisions of this sub-clause, all work performed outside of the ordinary hours of any day, Monday to Friday, inclusive, will be paid for at the rate of time and one half for the first 2 hours and double time thereafter. Casual Employees will be entitled to the appropriate all- purpose penalty rates and their 25% casual loading as identified in clause 2.1.2.

  • Equalization of Overtime To the extent possible, consistent with current practice, voluntary overtime opportunities shall be distributed equally among qualified volunteers with similar skills and duties .   • Footwear Allowance The Company will reimburse full-time employees up to fifty ($50.00) dollars per year toward the cost of footwear upon presentation of a receipt. Eligible employees will receive reimbursement for footwear upon completion of six (6) months' service. Once employees have received the footwear allowance, they must wear such footwear during work hours.

  • Overtime Meal Allowances (a) An Employee who is required to work a minimum of two and one-half (2½) hours overtime before or after his/her scheduled hours of work, shall be provided with a meal or shall be reimbursed nine dollars ($9.00). A meal break of one-half (½) hour with pay shall be given at the overtime rate. This section shall not apply to an Employee who is on travel status which entitles him/her to claim for lodging and/or meals.

  • EQUALIZATION OF OVERTIME HOURS 211 Overtime hours shall be divided as equally as practicable among employees in the same classification in their district. An up-to-date list showing overtime hours and unit seniority date will be posted in a prominent place in each district before the 15th of each month. -212 Whenever overtime is required, the person with the least number of overtime hours in that classification within the district will, except in necessary emergencies, be called first and so on down the list in an attempt to equalize the overtime hours. After exhausting this procedure and the need still exists, the Employer may require the least senior available, qualified employee to work. The Union reserves the right to grieve what is an emergency. Employees in other classifications may be called if there is a shortage of employees in the classification needed. In such cases they would be called on the basis of least hours of overtime in their classification provided they are capable of doing the work. When employees are notified by telephone, they will be called in order of lowest hours first. -213 For the purpose of this clause, time not worked because the employee was unavailable, or did not choose to work, will be charged the average number of overtime hours of the employees working during that overtime period (2 hour minimum). -214 On July 1 each year, the amount of overtime hours credited to each employee will be reduced equal to the amount of overtime hours credited to the employee at the bottom of the overtime list and only the excess overtime hours for each employee shall be carried forward. -215 An employee who has changed classifications will be charged with the highest number of overtime hours that exist in the new classification on the day he/she was reclassified. -216 When an employee terminates his/her term as Chief Xxxxxxx, President, Xxxxxxx, or Alternate Xxxxxxx, his/her overtime hours shall be disregarded and he/she shall assume the average number of hours in his/her classification in his/her district, unless he/she is currently charged with less than average hours. ARTICLE 44 - LONGEVITY PAY -217 All regular employees of the Employer hired prior to August 19, 1996 shall be entitled to receive longevity pay for length of continuous service with the Employer according to the following rules and schedule of payment. -218 LONGEVITY YEAR The longevity year is defined as the twelve (12) month period beginning October 1 of each year and ending September 30. For longevity payment purposes only, a year of continuous full-time service is defined as any longevity year in which the employee is actively employed for at least 39 calendar weeks (273 calendar days). -219 Longevity pay shall be computed as a percentage of the employee's regular annual base wage. Base wage shall be that wage which an employee is being paid on September 1, 1988, of the calendar year in which the longevity payment is due. The annual base wage shall be equal to the employee's hourly rate times 2080 hours as of the first pay period in September. If an employee is not on the payroll at that time, the hourly rate to be used will be the hourly rate upon his/her return. Base wage shall not include overtime or premium pay. -220 INITIAL ELIGIBILITY The last date of hire as a regular employee will be used as the normal longevity date. To qualify for the first longevity payment, an employee must have completed six (6) years of continuous service as of October 1 of any year. To qualify for initial eligibility, the employee must have been on active employment for at least 39 calendar weeks (273 calendar days) for six (6) consecutive years and an employee on October 1 of that year to receive the longevity payment. Periods of active employment of less than 39 calendar weeks will be counted toward the employee's years of continuous service. -221 CONTINUING ELIGIBILITY After establishing initial eligibility, employees must be actively employed for 39 calendar weeks (273 calendar days) during the longevity year and an employee as of October 1 to receive the longevity payment on December 1. Periods of active employment of less than 39 calendar weeks, while not qualifying the employee for payment of longevity, shall be counted toward the employee's years of continuous service. -222 Payments to employees who are eligible each October 1 will be paid on December

  • Safety Footwear Allowance Effective 1/1/07, the Contra Costa Community College District will provide an initial two pairs of safety/protective work boots or shoes for employees in the following classifications: Building Maintenance Worker, Equipment Maintenance Worker, Senior Equipment Maintenance Worker, Maintenance Mechanic, Lead Maintenance Mechanic, Maintenance Assistant, Ground Worker / Gardener I, II, Senior or Lead, Shipping and Receiving Clerk, and all other mutually agreed upon classifications required to wear safety; protective shoes per OSHA/ASTM standards.

  • Overtime Meal Allowance ‌ An employee who works two and one-half hours of overtime immediately before or following his/her scheduled hours of work shall receive a meal allowance of seven dollars. One-half hour with pay shall be allowed the employee in order that he/she may take a meal break either at or adjacent to his/her place of work.

  • Allowance So long as Tenant is not in default of this Lease, and subject to the limitations described in the next following paragraph, Landlord shall pay to Tenant's contractors and materialmen, as a “Construction Allowance” an amount up to $5,258,025.00 ($75.00 psf) to be used for planning, architectural/engineering fees, demolition, Tenant's Work construction costs, and construction management/oversight fees, furniture, fixtures and equipment expenses and moving expenses (collectively, the “Actual Construction Costs”), which said amount shall be paid directly to Tenant's contractors and materialmen within thirty (30) days of the last to occur of all of the following: (a) all Tenant's Work performed by Tenant in the Premises shall have been substantially completed in accordance with the provisions of the Exhibits of this Lease and Tenant's plans and specifications; (b) Tenant shall have furnished Landlord a standard sworn “owners” statement /affidavit for Tenant's Work, (c)Tenant shall• have furnished Landlord a stai1dard sworn “general contractor's” statement /affidavit for Tenant's Work; (d) Tenant shall have furnished to Landlord final lien waivers from all general contractors, subcontractors and materialmen who supplied services or material as part of Tenant's Work; (e) Tenant shall have provided Landlord with a copy of the certificate of occupancy (or its equivalent) for the Premises issued by the appropriate governmental entity; and (f) Tenant shall have provided Landlord with “as-built” plans of Tenant's Work on a CD in Autocad format. Tenant shall have the right to request that Landlord pay Tenant's contractors and materialmen a portion of the Construction Allowance monthly provided that Tenant complies with the provisions of subsections (b), (c) and (d) above (provided that to satisfy this subsection [d], Tenant shall furnish Landlord partial lien waivers from all general contractors, subcontractors and materialmen who supplied services or material as part of Tenant's Work) and the amount Tenant's Work actually completed and installed in the Premises, for which payment is requested, is more than the amount of the Construction Allowance requested; and provided further that Tenant complies with subsections (a) through (f) above with regard to the final portion of the Construction Allowance. Tenant and Landlord shall establish a standard construction escrow at the office of the Landlord's title insurance company (the “Construction Escrow”) for the purpose of Landlord funding the Construction Allowance and Tenant paying the cost of Tenant's Work. Landlord and Tenant shall comply with the provisions of the Construction Escrow, and Tenant shall pay 100% of the cost of same. All payments for Tenant's Work shall be funded through the Construction Escrow. Unless required by Landlord's lenders or equity partners, the Construction Escrow will not require (i) that the title company issue date down mechanic lien endorsements every time part of the Construction Allowance is funded or (ii) that there be an inspecting architect who approves every draw; provided that if (i) and/or (ii) aforesaid is required, same shall be at Tenant's cost. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained herein, the Tenant shall use no more than the following amounts of the Construction Allowance toward the following Actual Construction Costs: (i) $788,703 for construction management/oversight fees; and (ii) $1,402,140 for furniture, fixtures and equipment expenses and moving expenses. Prior to beginning construction of Tenant's Work, Tenant shall provide Landlord with a budget showing the anticipated cost of Tenant's Work. If the budget for Tenant's Work indicates that the cost of Tenant's Work exceeds the amount of the Construction Allowance, before Landlord is obligated to fund any part of the Construction Allowance, Tenant shall, using its own funds, pay for the cost of that part of Tenant's Work that is in excess of the Construction Allowance and Tenant's payment of same, through the Construction Escrow, shall be a condition to Landlord's obligation to pay the Construction Allowance.

  • Overtime Equalization The assignment of overtime shall be reasonably equalized within classifications. The normal maximum hours officers will be scheduled is (15) fifteen hours. Upon field training competition, probationary officers will begin their total overtime hours on the overtime equalization chart at the average of all members within the officer classification. An overtime equalization chart shall be maintained within the department. The chart shall list all overtime offers and each officer’s declined and accepted hours for each particular offer. Each time an officer is offered overtime, the number of overtime hours worked, or the number of hours declined, will be credited to officer’s chart. The overtime equalization chart shall be posted monthly.
