Alternative Work Schedule An alternate forty (40) hour work schedule (other than five (5) uniform and consecutive eight (8) hour days in a seven (7) day period), or for hospital personnel an eighty (80) hour workweek in a fourteen (14) day period and other mutually agreed upon schedules that comply with applicable federal and state law. Employee work schedules normally include two (2) consecutive days off.
Alternative Work Schedules An alternative work schedule is any modification of the basic work day and/or work period as defined in Sections 6.1, 6.2, 6.2.1 and 6.2.2 herein. Alternative work schedules may be established by the Employer with the written consent of each nurse involved and notification to the Association at least fifteen (15) calendar days prior to implementation of the schedule. The Employer may return the nurse or the nurse may elect to return to an eight (8) hour work schedule or his/her previous shift following fourteen (14) calendar days’ written notice.
Work Days The work day shall consist of an assigned shift within twenty-four (24) consecutive hours commencing at 12:01 a.m.
Extended Work Day 39.01 Where the parties to this Collective Agreement agree to implement a system employing an extended work day and resultant compressed work week, they shall evidence such agreement by signing a document indicating such agreement applies.
Alternate Work Schedule An alternate work schedule is any work schedule where an employee is regularly scheduled to work five (5) days per week, but the employee’s regularly scheduled two (2) days off are NOT Saturday and Sunday.
Alternate Work Schedules Workweeks and work shifts of different numbers of hours may be established for overtime-eligible employees by the Employer in order to meet business and customer service needs, as long as the alternate work schedules meet federal and state law. When there is a holiday, employees may be required to switch from their alternate work schedules to regular work schedules.
Defective Work Work that, for any reason, is not in compliance with the Contract Documents. Defective Work is usually identified in a Notice of Non-Compliant Work.
Time Worked For purposes of computing the eight (8) hour day or the forty (40) hour week to determine entitlement to overtime pay, all sick leave, vacation leave, and holidays shall count as time worked to be added to other hours worked.
