Assessment of Student Growth. In determining student growth measures, the District has adopted the Ohio Department of Education’s Ohio Teacher Evaluation System (OTES), which calculates student growth by assessing achievement for an individual student occurring between two (2) points in time when appropriate and required under OTES. It is important to note that a student who has forty-five (45) or more excused or unexcused absences during the full academic year will not be included in the determination of student academic growth. In general, the evaluator will utilize the following categories to determine this aspect of a teacher’s evaluation, depending upon the instructor involved:
