Assigning Overtime. Where there are insufficient volunteers to work an overtime assignment, overtime and work on a holiday shall be assigned by HOOPP on the basis of inverse order of seniority provided those employees so designated have, in the opinion of HOOPP, the ability to perform the functions required. HOOPP undertakes to attempt to accommodate the wishes of an employee to not take an overtime or weekend or holiday work assignment provided sufficient employees are available to assume the assignment. Bargaining Unit employees shall have priority where overtime is required for Bargaining Unit work. Only in the event that there are insufficient bargaining unit employees available, will overtime be offered to non- bargaining unit employees.
