Authorised Users may Sample Clauses
Authorised Users may. Search, view, retrieve and display the Licensed Materials. Electronically save search results, individual articles or extracts of the Licensed Materials for personal use. Print off search results or single copies of individual articles or extracts of the Licensed Materials. Distribute single copies of individual articles or extracts of the Licensed Materials in print or electronic form to other Authorised Users; not for commercial use. Remove or alter the authors' names or the Publisher's copyright notices or other means of identification or disclaimers as they appear in the Licensed Materials. Mount or distribute any part of the Licensed Material on any electronic network whatever other than the Secure Network. Use, print, resell or republish all or any part of the Licensed Materials for any Commercial Use. Systematically or programmatically distribute all or any part of the Licensed Materials to anyone other than Authorised Users. Publish, distribute or make available the Licensed Materials, works based on them or works which combine them with any other material, other than as permitted in this Licence. Alter, abridge, adapt or modify the Licensed Materials, except to the extent necessary to make them perceptible on a computer screen to Authorised Users. No alteration of the words or their order is permitted.
Authorised Users may. (a) access the Content for internal use within the Subscriber’s organisation, whether in the print edition or online via a PC, laptop, smartphone, tablet or other mobile device, and store Content on any such device for their personal use;
(b) print single copies of articles for their personal use; and
(c) share extracts of articles (not exceeding 140 words).
Authorised Users may. 3.4.1. Incorporate parts of the Licensed Material in printed and electronic course packs, study packs, resource lists and in any other material (including but not limited to multi-media works) to be used in the course of instruction and/or in virtual and managed environments (including but not limited to virtual learning environments, managed learning environments, virtual research environments and library environments) hosted on a Secure Network. Each item shall carry appropriate acknowledgement of the source, listing title and copyright owner. Course packs in non-electronic non-print perceptible form, such as Braille, may also be offered to Authorised Users who, in the reasonable opinion of the Licensee, are reading impaired.
3.4.2. Distribute single copies of parts of the Licensed Material in print or electronic form to third party colleagues for the purposes of scientific research and communication or to be used for the basis of discussion groups.
3.4.3. Publicly display or publicly perform a reasonable part of the Licensed Material as part of a presentation at a seminar, conference, or workshop, or other such similar activity.
3.4.4. Incorporate parts of the Licensed Material in printed or electronic form in Academic Works, including reproductions of the Academic Works for personal use and library deposit, if such use conforms to the customary and usual practice of the Licensee. Reproductions in printed or electronic form of Academic Works may be provided to sponsors of such Academic Works. Each item shall carry appropriate acknowledgement of the source, listing title and copyright owner.
Authorised Users may. 3.4.1. Distribute a reasonable amount of the Licensed Material in print or electronic form to other Authorised users. This shall include the distribution of a copy for teaching purposes to each individual student Authorised User taking part in a course at the Licensee’s institution.
3.4.2. Incorporate parts of the Licensed Material in printed or electronic form in Academic Works, including reproductions of the Academic Works for personal use and library deposit, if such use conforms to the customary and usual practice of the Licensee. Reproductions in printed or electronic form of Academic Works may be provided to sponsors of such Academic Works. Each item shall carry appropriate acknowledgement of the source, listing title and copyright owner.
3.4.3. Incorporate parts of the Licensed Material in printed and electronic course packs, study packs, resource lists and in any other material (including but not limited to multi-media works) to be used in the course of instruction and/or in virtual and managed environments (including but not limited to virtual learning environments, managed learning environments, virtual research environments and library environments) hosted on a Secure Network. Each item shall carry appropriate acknowledgement of the source, listing title and copyright owner. Course packs in non-electronic non-print perceptible form, such as Braille, may also be offered to Authorised Users who, in the reasonable opinion of the Licensee, are reading impaired.
3.4.4. Deposit the learning and teaching objects as referred to in clause 3.4.3. in electronic repositories operated by the Licensee on a Secure Network. The access and use of such learning and teaching objects shall be governed by the terms and conditions of the applicable repository, provided that any access and use of the licensed materials contained in the learning and teaching objects does not breach the terms of this Agreement.
3.4.5. Publish articles as open access, within Hybrid and Gold Open Access Journals in accordance with section 8.
