AUTHOR'S RIGHTS. Notwithstanding any terms or conditions to the contrary in any author agreement between Authors and Licensor, Authors affiliated with Licensee whose work (“Content”) is accepted for publication within the Licensed Materials shall retain the non-exclusive, irrevocable, royalty-free right to use their Content for scholarly and educational purposes, including self-archiving or depositing the Content in institutional, subject-based, national or other open repositories or archives (including the author’s own web pages or departmental servers), and to comply with all grant or institutional requirements associated with the Content. For the avoidance of doubt, it is the intent of the parties to this Agreement that Authors are third party beneficiaries of this provision of the Agreement. If the Licensor does not have the right to grant all rights under 3.11, these rights will apply exclusively to the content for which the Licensor does have such rights, as specified in the attached Schedule(s).
AUTHOR'S RIGHTS. The Author is hereby reserving the rights to use his or her article in the following ways, as long as Author acknowledges the original publication by the University of California Press, in standard bibliographic citation form, and does not sell it or give it away in a manner that would conflict directly with the business interests of the Press:

TRAINING AND MARKETING MATERIALS. Member Institutions and Authorized Users may display, download or print the Licensed Materials for the purpose of internal marketing or testing or for training Authorised Users.
AUTHOR'S RIGHTS. 5.1 Notwithstanding any terms or conditions to the contrary in any author agreement between Publisher and authors affiliated with Licensee (“Authors”), Authors whose work is accepted for publication within the Licensed Materials (“Content”) shall retain the non-exclusive, royalty- free right to use their Content for scholarly, private and educational purposes, including self- archiving or depositing the Content in institutional, subject-based, national or other open non for profit repositories or archives (including the Author's own web pages or departmental servers), and to comply with all grant or institutional requirements associated with the Content, provided that a link to the version published by Publisher is included. For the avoidance of doubt, it is the intent of the parties to this License that Authors are third party beneficiaries of this provision of the License.
AUTHOR'S RIGHTS. Author(s) (or Author(s)’s employer, if applicable) retains all proprietary rights in the Article, other than those exclusive rights granted to CCS under this Agreement. CCS licenses back to Author(s) the following rights to use the Article prior to publication of the Published Version by CCS (e.g., rights are limited to the Submitted Version and Accepted Version of the Article); provided Author(s) does not sell or reproduce any part of the Article for any commercial or competitive purpose or systematically distribute the Article

Work submitted cannot have been published previously and should not be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
