Base Salary Increases. a. General Eligibility - To be eligible for a salary increase, a teacher must not have received a rating of ineffective or improvement necessary in the prior school year. A teacher who received a rating of ineffective or improvement necessary remains at their prior year salary. Also, a teacher must have completed a year of service as defined by INPRS or worked 120 days in a teaching position during the preceding school year.

A teacher who received an evaluation rating of effective or highly effective in the prior school year is eligible for a salary increase. Teachers in their first full year of instruction who were not rated in the previous year are eligible for an increase. Other than those teachers eligible for a raise per Ind. Code 20-28-9-1.5(f), a teacher must not have those who received a rating of an ineffective or improvement necessary rating in the prior school year. A teacher who received a rating of ineffective or improvement necessary remains year shall remain at their prior year year’s salary. Also, a teacher must have completed a year of service as defined by INPRS or worked 120 days in a teaching position during the preceding school year.
