Beginning Teacher Support Program. This component shall provide peer assistance to teachers participating in Pre-Intern, Intern, and Beginning Teacher and Support (BTSA) programs, as well as first and second year teachers. Support providers shall normally be assigned on a preferred ratio of 1:1. Participation in the Program shall not create nor expand any rights to retention or permanency as set forth in Educational Code Section 44929.21 pertaining to probationary employees.

Beginning Teacher Support Program. 1) This component shall provide peer assistance and review to eligible first year teachers through consulting teachers on a ratio that does not exceed 1:15. Consulting teachers shall have primary evaluation responsibilities for teachers in this program. Eligible first year teachers are generally considered to be teachers who are new to the profession. Teachers who are new to the District but who have prior teaching experience may, subject to approval by the PAR Panel, volunteer to participate in the first year program; otherwise they will be considered qualified for the Second Year Assistance Program.

  • BEGINNING TEACHERS definition Beginning teachers meet the Teaching Council criteria for provisional certification as a teacher. Beginning Teachers work under the guidance of others. They undertake “advice and guidance” programmes to assist in the development of the competencies required for full certification.

  • Orientation Program The Company will allow a designated representative of the Local or Bargaining Unit up to one (1) hour per calendar month for the purpose of conducting the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union New Members’ Orientation Program. Such meetings will be conducted during the probationary period of employees, and will be held on Company premises. Employees participating in Orientation Program meetings during their normally scheduled working hours will not suffer loss of pay at their regular rate. Orientation Program meetings will be scheduled by Management and a Management representative may attend as an observer.

In lieu of a Program Manager, Design Professional may be designated to perform the role of Program Manager.   • Multi-year Planning Targets Schedule A may reflect an allocation for the first Funding Year of this Agreement as well as planning targets for up to two additional years, consistent with the term of this Agreement.   • Using Student feedback in Educator Evaluation ESE will provide model contract language, direction and guidance on using student feedback in Educator Evaluation by June 30, 2013. Upon receiving this model contract language, direction and guidance, the parties agree to bargain with respect to this matter.
