Common use of Benefits Committee Clause in Contracts

Benefits Committee. The Hospital will establish an employee committee that 2 includes three Nurses selected by the Association to review the insurance 3 provided as part of the plan described in Article 8 and the retirement programs 4 described in Article 9. The purpose of this committee is to provide input and 5 recommendations to the Hospital regarding employees’ preferences within the 6 contractual terms of Articles 8 and 9. The committee will not have the authority 7 to negotiate or to change the terms of the existing contract. Up to three such 8 Nurses will be paid at the respective Nurse’s regularly hourly rate of pay for 9 attendance at such meetings. The committee will meet no less than four times in 10 2011 and 2012. Dates and times for the meeting will be circulated in advance. 11 Any additional meetings will be as determined by the committee. The committee 12 will be provided with a Hospital employee who is trained as a facilitator and who 13 will not serve as a member of the committee.
