Bilingual Stipend (English. French) (a) To all members who qualify as bilingual and who occupy a position designated as a bilingual position, an allowance of $1,200 per annum shall be paid. This allowance shall be pro-rated at each regular pay period. (b) It is the intention of the Employer to designate all positions at Xxxxxxx College as bilingual positions, effective November 1, 1989. (c) No members of the Bargaining unit presently employed at the Xxxxxxx College campus shall be removed from their position by reason of a lack of a bilingual capability. (d) In the event that the Employer is unable to recruit a qualified bilingual person to fill a vacancy for a designated bilingual position, the position may be offered to an internal unilingual candidate who meets the other job requirements, and who indicates a willingness to become bilingual. Such an individual shall be required to meet the University's bilingual qualification within one (1) year of taking the position. (a) Effective September 1, 2005, where the majority of hours of an employee’s shift fall between 4:00 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. a shift premium of $0.50 per hour shall be paid for all hours worked in the shift. (b) Effective September 1, 2005, where the hours worked starting Saturday at 12:00 a.m. and ending Monday at 12.00 a.m. a shift premium of $0.50 per hour shall be paid for all hours worked in the shift.

  • Bilingual Pay Where the Employer currently pays bilingual pay or bonuses, it shall continue to do so. The Employer retains discretion to initiate bilingual pay or bonuses. The minimum bilingual bonus or hourly equivalent is $25 per pay period. The Employer may not require an employee to use bilingual skills without paying the appropriate bonus or pay. This does not apply to employees where such skills are in the classification specification.

  • MAINTENANCE OF CLASSROOM CONTROL AND DISCIPLINE A. Each school shall develop a written policy on classroom control and discipline developed by the administration and faculty consistent with Board policy and state law. B. In accordance with applicable State Law, Board policy, and/or administrative procedures, a designated bargaining unit member shall have the authority and responsibility for the control of pupils throughout the school and on school grounds while on regular duty and also during the supervision of school-sponsored activities. Likewise a bargaining unit member may use reasonable force in his/her self-defense or in the restraint of a student to prevent harm to that student or to others. C. In the case of legal claims brought by the student and/or his/her parent or guardian, the Board will provide legal representation.
