Common use of Board Grievance Clause in Contracts

Board Grievance. A Board Grievance may be submitted to the Union in writing within ten (10) working days of the occurrence giving rise to the grievance. A meeting between the Union Grievance Committee and the Board representatives shall be held within five (5) working days of the presentation of the written grievance and shall take place within the framework of Step No. 2 of Article 21.02. A staff representative of the Union may be present at this meeting. The Union shall give its written decision within five (5) working days of such meeting. If the Union's decision is not satisfactory to the Board, the grievance may be submitted to arbitration within fifteen (15) days of the Board's receipt of such written decision and the arbitration sections of this Agreement shall be followed.
