Board Reimbursement. The Board shall reimburse employees for damage to clothing, dentures, eyeglasses, prosthetic devices, or artificial limbs where such damage occurs as a result of:
1. breaking up a fight
2. protecting students or other employee(s) from physical harm or injury
3. assault and/or battery occurring on him/her suffered in the course of the legal performance of his/her assigned duties. Such reimbursement shall not exceed the replacement cost nor be paid when the above loss is reimbursable from other sources. Employees will be reimbursed for any out of pocket expenses, up to a maximum of $500.00 employee deductible, due to vandalism to their personal vehicle occurring on school district property, provided such loss is not covered by personal insurance or reimbursed from other sources. Cases of vandalism shall be reported to an administrator as soon as the damage is discovered. If an administrator requests a police report, the employee shall comply. Every effort will be made to reimburse employees within sixty days of submitting the required paperwork.
