Bushing flanges shall not be of a shape which may trap air. Outdoor bushing insulators and fittings and their mounting arrangements shall be designed so as to avoid pockets in which water can collect.

BUSHING INSULATORS. Bushings shall be in accordance with IEC 60137 and have a current rating at least 20 per cent greater than the maximum current appropriate to the terminal to which it is connected for compatibility with the transformer when operating under IEC 60354 overload conditions. The routine power frequency withstand voltage applied to the bushings shall be at least ten per cent (10%) higher than that applied to the transformer.
