Common use of Cancellation of Leaves of Absence Clause in Contracts

Cancellation of Leaves of Absence. All leaves of absence shall be subject to the condition that the appointing authority may cancel the leave for just cause at any time upon prior written notice to the employee, specifying a reasonable date of termination of the leave, and the reason for such cancellation. Upon prior notice to the employee, an approved leave of absence may be canceled at any time it is found that the employee is using the leave for purposes other than those specified at the time of approval.
