Common use of Cash Shortages Clause in Contracts

Cash Shortages. 28.01 Employees handling cash will be held accountable for errors resulting in cash register overages and shortages where they have been given the opportunity to verify the contents of the cash tray at both the beginning and the end of the shift and have exclusive access to the register throughout the work shift. In the event that management or designated cash off employees exercise the right to open the register during the employee’s work shift, the employee will be given the opportunity to verify all withdrawals and/or deposits.
