Common use of Casual Rate Clause in Contracts

Casual Rate. (a) A Casual Education Support Employee’s hourly rate of pay is calculated by taking the lowest pay subdivision of the appropriate classification (Category A) level in Appendix 5, dividing by 38 and adding a loading of 33.3% to the nearest 10 cents. (b) A Casual Education Support Employee required to attend for duty by the Employer for less than two hours on any day must be paid for a minimum of two hours for any attendance.

Casual Rate. (a) A Casual casual Education Support Employee’s hourly rate of pay is calculated by taking the lowest pay subdivision of the appropriate classification (Category A) level in Appendix 56, dividing by 38 and adding a loading of 33.3% to the nearest 10 cents. (b) A Casual Education Support Employee required to attend for duty by the Employer for less than two hours on any day must be paid for a minimum of two hours for any attendance.
