Common use of Catastrophic Illness or Injury Leave Clause in Contracts

Catastrophic Illness or Injury Leave. (reference Education Code 87045) At the discretion of the District, this section will sunset and become null and void ninety (90) days after the District serves notice upon the Guild of its intent to do so. Any catastrophic illness donation which is in process at the time of termination of this Article will be completed. Faculty members may contribute up to a maximum of forty (40) accumulated sick leave hours (a minimum of eight [8] hours and in one [1] hour increments thereafter) per fiscal year to another unit member within the faculty bargaining unit or the classified bargaining unit. The parameters of the program are:
