Chapter President Release Time. The District shall approve a pilot program for the term of this Agreement of .50 release time for the use of the Chapter President or Chapter Vice President designees as designated by the Chapter President for the purpose of conducting Union business. To the extent possible, this release time shall be used instead of additional release time for classified representation under Sections 4.5, 4.6, and 4.7. The schedule for this release time shall be mutually agreed to between the released Chapter President or Chapter Vice President and the supervisor. In the event that mutual agreement on the schedule is not reached, the supervisor shall assign the schedule consistent with this section and the needs of the department.
Chapter President Release Time. The District shall approve 1.25 FTE release time for the use of the Chapter President, and/or Chapter Officers as designated by the Chapter President for the purpose of conducting Union business. No one Officer shall exceed use of .5 FTE per week. To the extent possible, this release time shall be used instead of additional release time for classified professional representation under Sections 4.5, 4.6, and 4.7. The schedule for this release time shall be mutually agreed to between the released Chapter President, and/or Chapter Officers and their supervisors. In the event that mutual agreement on the schedule is not reached, the supervisor shall assign the schedule consistent with this section and the needs of the department.
Chapter President Release Time. The CSEA, Chapter 420, President shall be provided with release time of up to ten (10) hours per week as necessary to conduct Chapter business. Scheduling of release time shall be subject to mutual agreement of the CSEA, Chapter 420, President and the Vice Chancellor of Human Resources or designee in consultation with the respective manager. Should release time create the need for overtime, the overtime will be processed through Human Resources. Attendance at District-required meetings as CSEA representative is in addition to the release time.
Chapter President Release Time. The Chapter President/or designee shall be provided two (2) days per month of release time from July through June with no loss of salary or other benefits for the purpose of participating in and conducting Chapter business. Additional time may be granted with Human Resources approval. A monthly/bi-monthly meeting will be scheduled between the Chapter President/or designee and the Director of Classified Personnel/or designee. The District will cover the cost of a substitute for release days, if a substitute is provided.
