Child, Family and Community Service Act has privacy during discussions with a lawyer, the Child, Youth and Family Advocate, the Ombudsman, a member of the Legislative Assembly or a member of Parliament; • is informed about and assisted in contacting the Child, Youth and Family Advocate; and • is informed of his or her rights under the Child, Family and Community Service Act and the procedures available for enforcing his or her rights. If your adoption worker is unavailable, make sure the incident is reported to another worker or the supervisor in the same district office. After regular hours, you can report a serious incident to an After Hours worker. After Hours workers are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. SERIOUS INCIDENTS INCLUDE:
Child, Family and Community Service Act. (CFCSA) requires every person to report promptly to a child protection social worker when they have reason to believe a child needs protection as set out in the following circumstances • if the child has been or is likely to be physically harmed, sexually abused or sexually exploited by a parent or other person and the parent is unwilling or unable to protect the child. • if the child has been or is likely to be physically harmed because of neglect by the child’s parent • if the child has been emotionally harmed by the parent’s conduct • if the child is deprived of necessary health care • if the child’s development is likely to be seriously impaired by a treatable condition and the child’s parent refuses to provide or consent to treatment • if the child’s parent is unable or unwilling to care for the child and has not made adequate provision for the child’s care • if the child is or has been absent from home in circumstances that endanger the child’s safety or well-being • if the child’s parent is dead and adequate provision has not been made for the child’s care • if the child has been abandoned and adequate provision has not been made for the child’s care The legal duty to report is the responsibility of each individual. Any person, including school employees and police officers, with reason to believe that a child needs protection has a duty to report directly to a child protection social worker. Informing another person, e.g., a colleague or a supervisor does not discharge the legal duty to report directly to a child protection social worker. Where two or more persons each have reason to believe a child needs protection, it is acceptable for them to report by way of a joint conference call to a child protection social worker. .

  • Community Service Service to the wider community includes active participation in a wide variety of governmental, societal and community institutions, programs and services, where such participation is based on the candidate’s academic or professional expertise.

  • Community Service Leave Community service leave is provided for in the NES.

  • Family and Medical Leave Act All employees who worked for the Employer for a minimum of twelve (12) months and worked at least 1250 hours during the past twelve (12) months are eligible for unpaid leave as set forth in the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993. Eligible employees are entitled to up to a total of 12 weeks of unpaid leave during any twelve (12) month period for the following reasons:

  • Citizen Volunteer or Community Service Leave Leave without pay may be granted for community volunteerism or service.

  • SECTION 109 OF THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1974 The Contractor shall comply with the provisions of Section 109 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974. No person in the United States shall on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity funded in whole or in part with funds made available under this title. Section 109 further provides that discrimination on the basis of age under the Age Discrimination Act of 1975 or with respect to an otherwise qualified handicapped individual as provided in Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, is prohibited.

  • Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA In accordance with the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) of 1993, the Board will grant a leave of absence for one or more of the following:

  • Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 (a) Leave provisions of this Agreement shall be construed consistently with the requirements of the Act. However, if the leave provisions under this Article are more generous, this Agreement shall prevail.
