Common use of Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve Holidays Clause in Contracts

Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve Holidays. In the event an eligible employee cannot be scheduled off the last four (4) hours of the work shift, or applicable pro-ration for part-time employees, on the two (2) four-hour recognized holidays before Christmas and New Year's, the holidays shall be observed as a single holiday, at the discretion of the City, on Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve.
