Holiday Benefits. Eleven paid holidays annually, pro-rated for the current year, based on date of hire.
Holiday Benefits. When a holiday falls during the period of an employee’s leave while receiving workers compensation benefits, the employee shall receive straight time compensation for the holiday as described in Article 8 of this agreement.
Holiday Benefits. 1. The following holidays are paid holidays for all bargaining unit members if the day occurs within their regularly scheduled work year:

B. Employees covered by this Agreement who normally work a regularly scheduled five (5) day week, Monday through Friday, shall be granted time off with pay for the designated holidays.
1. The holiday designated must fall on the week days, that is, Monday through Friday.
2. Should the holiday fall on Saturday, the immediately preceding Friday shall be observed as the designated holiday for that year.
3. Should the holiday fall on Sunday (except for Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, which are detailed in B.4 of this Article) the immediately succeeding Monday shall be observed as the designated holiday for that year.
4. Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve:
a. Should Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve fall on Friday, the preceding Thursdays will be observed as the designated holidays for that year.
b. Should Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve fall on Sunday, the preceding Fridays will be observed as the designated holidays for that year.
5. The foregoing shall not apply if New Year's Day falls on Saturday in any year which is subsequent to the year of expiration of this Agreement.
6. An employee shall receive holiday pay provided that he/she works the scheduled day before and the scheduled day after the holiday, or is excused with pay for the entire day from work. Failure to receive approval by not calling in or properly notifying the Employer regarding an absence on the day before or the day after a holiday shall result in the denial of holiday pay.
7. Effective May 18, 2000, new hires will not be eligible to utilize the Floating Holiday during his/her first six (6) months of employment.
Holiday Benefits. Holiday leave with pay and compensation for time worked on a holiday shall be granted to eligible part-time employees on the same basis and subject to the same restrictions, conditions and limitations as apply to such leave with pay and such compensation for full-time employees; provided, however, that each eligible part-time employee shall be eligible for holiday leave with pay for a number of hours each holiday based on the number of hours per week such part-time employee is indefinitely assigned to work in the employee’s regularly scheduled part-time position. Such number of hours shall be in accordance with the following hours per week schedule: Regularly Scheduled Hours Per Week Hours of Leave With Pay Each Holiday 20-24 hours 4 hours 25-29 hours 5 hours 30-34 hours 6 hours
22.4.1 Compensation for holidays shall be according to the above schedule regardless of the number of hours any eligible part-time employee may have been scheduled to work or would have been required to work on any designated holidays. If full-time employees are granted holiday leave with pay for a period of four (4) hours on a day that would be a regularly scheduled, full work day were it not for the holiday, eligible part-time employees shall receive holiday leave with pay in an amount equal to one-half of the hours shown above.
22.4.2 Each part-time employee who is not eligible to receive supplemental benefits provided by this Article and who is required to work on any of said holidays shall receive the salary that the employee would be entitled to for the hours worked on that day at the employee’s regular rate of pay, and in addition, shall receive compensation in a sum equal to one-half times their hourly pay multiplied by the number of hours worked on such holiday, provided and excepting, however, that no part-time employee who is required to work on any of said holidays and who received a flat daily rate of pay, plus room and board shall be entitled to or shall be paid any compensation in addition to their regular flat daily rate of pay plus room and board.

B. Holidays will be paid at the bargaining unit employee’s hourly rate of pay in a lump sum payment for a maximum of one hundred (100) hours. The payment will be processed in the September timeframe. Employees who are working light duty or worker’s compensation shall not receive lump sum holiday but rather have the day off. Bargaining unit employees who terminate will be paid for all holidays at the rate which it is accrued per day up to their termination date.
Holiday Benefits.
a. The existing work schedule for employees on a four on/two off/five on/two off shift, provides for sixty-four (64) hours of recognized holiday benefits. Employees on this shift schedule, in lieu of other recognized holidays, shall be credited with an additional recognized holiday credit at the end of each calendar year of fifty (50) hours. Holiday credit may be taken as holiday time off or paid at the straight-time hourly rate, based on employee preference and operational needs.
b. Holiday Benefits. A. Employees shall be entitled to holiday pay, compensated in cash, for fifteen and one-half (15-1/2) holidays.* Payment in cash is to be made in December of each year. If any employee works part of the year or receives payment for any of the enumerated holidays currently, compensation in cash shall be adjusted accordingly. Payment shall be based on the salary scale in effect on the date of payment. In other years, fourteen and one-half (14 1/2) days. Employees regularly scheduled to work any or all of the approved holidays will, in addition to holiday pay, receive a holiday premium rate of time and one-half for all regular hours worked. The holiday premium rate shall be paid on, not later than, the end of the second pay period following the pay period in which such holiday premium rate is earned.
B. Employees who are scheduled to work the holiday must work the holiday and the scheduled day before and scheduled day after the holiday, unless excused with pay for the entire day, in order to qualify for payment. In order to be excused from work for holiday pay purposes, an employee must secure a medical certificate or written approval by the Sheriff, or designee. The foregoing excuse provision, relating to qualification for holiday pay, shall not apply to employees on sick leave, if such sick leave is in effect prior to the beginning of the current pay period in which the holiday falls. Additionally, the above enumerated holidays, occurring after one (1) year from date of any incapacitating injury for which Worker's Compensation benefits are paid, shall not be credited to the employee, or otherwise qualify the incapacitated employee for holiday payment, and such disqualification shall continue so long as the incapacity exists.
C. In instances where an employee is declared ineligible for a holiday, the employee shall be notified in writing, with a copy to the appropriate representative of the Bargaining Unit, that payment for the holiday in question is being denied and the reason for such denial....
Holiday Benefits. Manager shall be entitled to the same holidays as Work Group Managers of USD.
