CHROMEBOOK TECHNICAL SUPPORT. All initial technical support will start at the Technology Department. If the Chromebook can not be fixed or repaired at that time, it will be sent to the District Technology Department. A loaner Chromebook will be issued to the student while their Chromebook is being repaired. All repairs on District-owned Chromebooks must be performed at the District by District staff. CHROMEBOOK TECHNICAL SUPPORT. If repair is necessary for a High School Chromebook then a Technology Staff member must submit a technology request for repair. CHROMEBOOK TECHNICAL SUPPORT. All repair requests must be made to the GDRSD Department of Technology & Digital Learning Help Desk system. All staff has access to this portal to assist students with tickets. ● If a student experiences an issue with their Chromebook while in class, they will notify the teacher of the issue. ● If a student has an issue with his/her Chromebook while at home, during remote learning, the student should email a member of the Department of Technology & Digital Learning (see contact information below). ● Students will be notified when their issue has been resolved. Service and repairs will be documented and reviewed to ensure the proper use and/or maintenance of the Chromebook. Excessive requests for service/repair are subject to review by the school administration. Students will be allowed to keep their Chromebook after graduation if they pay a $100.00 fee to the Greater Fall River Vocational School District. Students will be allowed to use a four year payment play allowing for a payment of $25.00 per year. Diman Regional Technology: General Guidelines: o Students will have access to forms of media and communication which is in support of education and research and in support of educational goals and objectives at Diman Regional. Access to media and communication beyond these specific uses will not be supported or allowed. o Students are responsible for their ethical and educational use of the technology resources of Diman Regional. o Access to Diman Regional's resources is a privilege and not a right. Each employee, student, and/or parent will be required to follow the rules of the Diman Regional Technology Acceptable Use Policy. Violations of these rules will result in the loss of privileges as well as other disciplinary action as defined by the district’s Acceptable Use Policy, Parent/Student Handbook, or other policies. o Recognizing that it is impossible to define every instance of acceptable and unacceptable use, it will be at the discretion of the school administration to use judgment as to what is acceptable in any undefined instances that may arise. o Transmission of any material that is in violation of any federal or state law is prohibited. CHROMEBOOK TECHNICAL SUPPORT. ● MSD OF NORTH XXXXX COUNTY will provide technical support, maintenance and repair during school hours. ● The Chromebook Help Desk located in the Library or Tech Center will be a point of contact for repair of the Chromebooks.
