C13 – Level 1 Injection Moulding Machine Operator : • Have an understanding and operate an injection moulding machine both in manual and semi automatic operations. • Be able to switch machine operations from automatic to semi automatic eg: to clear stuck parts in moulds. • Restart auto process of machines after a short interruption. • Fully understand SOP’s, WHS and quality requirements for manufacture of plastic components. • Operate nylon moisture conditioning process. • Operate raw material handling equipment. • Understand and complete packaging of finished goods in line with customer requirements. • Complete workplace documents. C12 – Level 2 Injection Moulding Machine Operator : Capable of operating most or all Injection Moulding plant and equipment. Capable of starting or shutting down plant production in line with SOP’s. • Understand and be capable of operating and adjusting: o The nylon moisture conditioning process. o The raw material handling equipment. • Monitor and control the dryer unit for drying air and maintaining the dew point. • Material changes through a machine or process. • Complete workplace documents. • Capable of training other process operators. • Arrange for quality testing and inspection of parts in line with quality procedures. • Communications skills and basic computer skills (Excel, Word and other quality programmes) • Assist in removal and installation of moulds into machines in line with sops.
