Common use of Classroom Visitation Clause in Contracts

Classroom Visitation. To provide patrons of the District the opportunity to visit classrooms with the least interruption to the teaching process, the following guidelines are set forth: 1. Each school building shall have posted at the main entrance(s) notice advising all visitors to a school and/or classroom to notify the office. If the visit is to a classroom, the time will be arranged after the principal/designee has conferred with the employee with sensitivity to the needs of the employee and the students. 2. Upon request, the employee shall be afforded the opportunity to confer with the classroom visitor before and/or after the visitation. The employee may request administrative presence during this communication. 3. Any observations or notations made during classroom visits shall not be used for evaluative purposes.
